Sick baby roll call

It seems that many October 2012 babies are sick at the moment. How are you all doing?

T has been teething up a storm and last night was bad then this morning she was particularly fussy and clingy. Then she drank some of the teething stuff I rub on her gums (contains ethanol and novocaine) so that sent us into a panic, but I phoned the Dr and he wasn't concerned. She slept hard all morning (I thought that was the alcohol) and then I went to the airport to fetch a friend and she slept hard in the car all the way there and wailed all the way home. Slept on me for two hours after than and then woke up all shaky and sweaty. Decided that this wasn't the after-effects of the drugs, so took her to the Dr and she has a bog standard viral infection. Fever, sore throat, generally miserable.

Previously, when she's been sick (not much at all) she's been fairly cheerful, but what worried me this time (apart from the accidental drug-taking) was that she is just SO not herself. Poor little thing.

She's sleeping and sweating and farting now. Hopefully getting rid of whatever it is.

    Emme just got over hand foot and mouth. It wasn't so bad for her but DH was hit hard.

    C was fine yesterday, woke up this am w a 101 fever. Took her to the doc, it's an ear infection. H is staying home with her. This is the first time she's ever had an ear infection, I'm just hoping it doesn't become a common occurance. SS had constant ear infections when he was little, and it sucked. Do not want.

    DD has been battling a fever for the past few days.  Lower today than it was yesterday, but she's still a little fussy and clingy.

    Dd2 is still sick with croup but her breathing is way better and she will hopefully be better soon. Dd1 still has a terrible cough so I kept her home from preschool yesterday.

    DD2 seems to have had a cold forever and there's green stuff coming out of her nose big time!  Plus she's got a pretty yucky cough.  It's way worse in the morning when she wakes up, but I feel so bad for her.

    I almost cried when I left this morning because the girls were so miserable and reaching for me :( I stayed home from work yesterday and we actually had a pretty good day. I put them on opposite nap schedules and it worked like a charm. I woke one girl up at 6, gave her warm honey water to soothe her throat, breakfast, took a warm shower, sucked snot, vapo rub on the chest and then snuggle time, then put her down for a nap at 8 and woke the other girl and repeated. I know some of you are waiting until age 2 for honey, but I'm comfortable giving it to them, the pedi actually recommended it to soothe cough and sore throat. Our honey is local, also.

    Yep, E has croup too. He doesn't have a fever though. Also his first real bout with diaper rash...
    I missed my follow up kidney issue appts today bc I am home with him.

    Alexis has some type of skin infection. She keeps getting these pimple like spots that get infected and get big and red and sometimes start draining. We are on her third round of antibiotics and we just added a second antibiotic on top of the one she is already taking. We will get it to go away for a while and then it will come back. Next week if more spots show up or she doesn't seem to be getting better our doctor is going to try and get her into a dermatologist.

    And now it's Wednesday... I hope everyone is on the mend.

    T had a restless night and a mega fever, but she's fine now. A little bit quiet, but otherwise normal.

    My LO seems to have runny nose green snot coming out it feels like its been forever hope the babies get better soon!

    My poor babe was up 4 hours in the middle of the night, inconsolable, rubbing her ears and barfing. Poor thing. Seems a bit better so far this morning.

    DD is on day 4 of her fever with no other symptoms.  She just seems tired and miserable. Took her to the Dr who checked her ears and throat and said she was fine but if she still has the fever tomorrow they will check her for a UTI.
