New tantrum?

DS has started to sit on his needs and bang his head on the floor in between his legs... why? why? He mainly does it when tired but it drives me nuts, I'm afraid he is going to hurt himself. We pick him up as soon as he starts to do this but it's becoming more constant when he doesn't get his way or is tired

Anyone else's LO throw temper tantrums like this?

I had a friend whose LO did that, she was told it was pretty normal and to just make sure she wasn't going to hurt herself. I think she told me it was a control thing.

I just said the same thing to my mom. The Terrible Twos are going to be awful!
