shots and fever

My lo just got his shots today. He has a fever of 99 under the arm. I know you can get fevers with shots but should I call the doctors? I don't know if I'm worrying to much.

Did your dr tell you you could use infant Tylenol? I gave my LO one dose after get shots last week. She got a little warm, but I more did it because she seemed quite painful. I would monitor the temp, and give Tylenol if necessary if your dr said it was ok.

If it lasts more than 24 hrs I would call. That's me. I like how I can always call with questions and don't have to go in. It helps a mom feel better! And I here with pp, infants Tylenol!

It's not a fever unless it's 100.4F and above taken rectally. At least that's what I was told.

This is when our dr said we needed to be seen as well.

At LOs age, rectal is the best way to get the accurate temp. LO had a fever after shots for 2 days (100.5) just be careful. A doctor is better than a forum.
