Sparkler turned calm baby for the day?

LO is definitely a "sparkler", but today he has slept the majority of the day.. And has been extra relaxed.. Just doesn't seem "himself". He doesn't have a fever or any other evident signs of illness. Could this just be an "off" day for him? Just deciding to bum it, maybe? Anyone else ever have these types of 'normal but abnormal' days?

Growth spurt maybe? I've heard spurts where they eat a lot is weight growth, and when they sleep a lot, it's height growth.

No advice, but this post made me smile, my son is definitely a fussy baby or sparkler too. I think it's funny because most people worry when their kids have a bad day not a good ones.

This has happened for us too. DS2 is definitely a sparkler but the last few weeks have been downright (dare I say?) pleasant! I wonder if he's growing out if it or if we've finally just got each other figured out. Regardless, I hope the same is happening for you!

We haven't turned the corner, but the other day I had to be at work at 7 pm and was up since 5:30 am and DH had to work a double. I prayed LO would take a good nap so I could nap before work. Wouldn't you know she had mercy on me and slept for 3.5 hours! It was laying on my chest but that's ok cause I slept too.

I'm worried someone has replaced my baby too. She's been on a sleep at night boycott for 3 weeks now. I'm exhausted.

This is us today too! Normally she needs CONSTANT attention. She slept for 14 hours last night (waking up once half way through) and both of her naps were 2.5 hours long. That much sleep is unheard of in this house. Even when she was awake she was perfectly happy to just watch me do whatever then all smiles and giggles when I talked to her.

I'm not complaining, but maybe H bonked her head when I wasn't looking or something.

There is hope ladies! My first was a sparkler and I noticed a drastic improvement around 3.5 months. DS2 is also a sparkler and he has mellowed out in the last couple weeks. He's content to just hang out a lot of the day and is all smiley and talkative. I thought it was a fluke with my first, and always waited for the other shoe to drop but sometimes they just grow out of their fussiness. Knock on wood that it will start getting easier for us!

We were just talking about this the other day. Emma is def much calmer and happier. She no longer screams at 7 just bc she could. It's actually fun having her now. Hopefully she doesn't revert back. She was even sttn, although now that we are back to work she's back to waking at 330... Wish she would save that for the weekend and sttn during the week.
