When would you mail birthday party invites? The party is January 11th and I want to give people time to plan, but also dont want the invites to get lost in the Christmas shuffle. WWYD?
2-3 weeks in advance is pretty average. DD's party is January 11th and I have already told most people the date so they can keep it open. By most people I am referring to immediate family that I know wouldn't miss it for the world.

DS's party is January 4th and I'm sending them out the same time as the Christmas cards, hopefully this weekend. With it so close to Christmas, I want to make sure people have enough time to plan.
Like, PPs mentioned, usually about 2-3 weeks in advance is normal. However, it can depend on your group of friends and family. For us, we have to send out invites 3-4 weeks in advance, and a reminder 2 weeks out. Yeah, it might seem like overkill and annoying, but we've gotten feedback from many of our friends and family that this is ideal. Of course, DS#1's birthday is today (Dec 2nd) and DS#2 is at the end of Jan. Holidays get busy, busy, busy, and it gets easy to overlook an event or over-schedule this time of year.
