Inviting other pregnant mom's to my baby shower

I have two friends one who's due the same day as me and the other is a week after me. I'm not sure what the etiquette is on inviting other pregnant woman to your own baby shower. I dont know if this is a dumb question or not but is it PC to invite them to my baby shower? I dont know if they've had their own yet or not so I just wanted to see what other people thought. Thanks girls!!

    2 of my friends are pregnant. One is due 2 days after me. I went to both their showers and it wasn't weird being the pregnant guest.

    Since this is my second, I'm just having a church ladies shower (DH is a pastor). I didn't invite them (they came to DDs shower 2 years ago), but if it was a sprinkle with friends then I would definitely invite them!

    I think it's totally fine to invite them. We have 5 close friends/family members due just before or after me and I've been invited to all their showers. I was happy to celebrate with them, just like they were happy to celebrate with me. I wouldn't worry :)

    I opened this thread wonderign what reasons people might have because I have never known of any.  I realized recently that DH's cousin, who is due the day after me, must have had her baby shower by now.  I apparently was not invited.  This is family where I really would have thought I would be invited. We've always gotten along. I assumed it must have to do with my being PG too. (Thunder-stealing perhaps?) This is her first & this is my 2nd. I've always tried to leave my own pregnancy out of any conversation & only ask her how her's is going. So that is the only possible scenario I can think of. -- & honestly, if that is the case, I'd kinda be glad I wasn't invited. I may never know though.

    I don't see any reason to not invite them. I didn't invite two friends that are going through fertility struggles and miscarriages recently, but that seems to make more sense.  (we are more facebook friends as well and haven't been to each others weddings).

    12/26/2012 U/S #2 8w6d - No more heartbeat, MMC; D&C; Chromosome testing normal; male :( RPL testing normal 
    4/3/2013 DX Asherman's Syndrome caused by D&C, hysteroscopy done
    June 2013 IVF #4 planned 
    5/12/2013 SURPRISE BFP! Natural cycle 
    7/11/2013 Panorama results Normal!!! Team Pink, partial previa moved up in 2nd tri9/5/13 (19w) AS scan shows short cervix, 2.5 cm 9/19 (21w)  Cervix is worse 1.87cm, bed rest 10/26 & 10/27 steroid shots 12/19 (35w) DX: SGA Baby went from 57% percentile to 18th percentile in 6 weeks. Weekly BPP and NST until she is here. 1/17/18 Growth scan puts Abby below 10th percent in size, low amniotic fluid, and less movement. Time to induce!
    1/18/14 2:11am Abigial Morgan is here! 5lbs 14oz and 18 inches of pure cuteness!!!

    That would make me sad to not be invited.

    OP, it's fine. If you are close enough to invite them when they are pregnant, then the state of their uterus is not a reason to not invite them now.

    Thats insane! As if you would have gone into that shower and been all "Hey look at me I"m pregnant too!" I'd be pissed if I were you (and if that was the real reason why you weren't even invited)

    sad at first, yes... however thinking about how childish that reason sounds to me, is why I say glad - if that is in fact the reasoning.

    I was not invited to their showers and this is my first baby so I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing when it came to inviting other pregnant woman to your own baby shower. I have, and have had, every intention of inviting them but I just wanted to see what you all thought

    Seriously, thats effed up that they didn't invite you and if it was because you're pregnant too. What would be the reasoning behind that? Unless it was a space/guest list restiction issue, I would have been pissed about not being invited. Also, how close are these friends?

    We are close but I dont know any of their friends because they are other wives and our husbands work together. I actually dont really care, maybe they were small parties or just family or something I'm not thinking too far into it.

    One of my good friends is having a shower a week before my EDD (she's due 6 weeks after me so she'll be 33 weeks at her shower and I'll be 39.) I'm planning to go as long as I'm up to it and still have an inside baby. She doesn't feel threatened by having someone more pregnant than her there. It will still be her day and her party. Why is this even a thing?

    There were 5 other pregnant women (2 FTMs, 3 S+TMs) at my shower so if it wasn't PC to invite other pregnant women then I am in reeeeeeeal trouble.
