baby colds: seeking survival tips

A few questions for you btdt moms... 1.)How long was your lo sick with a cold? 2. )I can't find the conversation about the vaporizer thing. What was that? Someone swore by it. 3.)My friend said to give them baby Benadryl to dry up the snot, but I've never heard of doing that for colds. Have you? 4.) Any survival tips? I'm doing a humidifier, baby vaporub, lots of liquids, bathroom steam, and a whole lot of snot sucking.
