Cold weather bath routine?

We have been in the habit of bathing Ab at night. She knows its wind down time and it works for us. She is an everyday bather (just water and soap twice a week). Her hair absolutely needs to be rinsed daily. Since she has so much hair, I have a hard time leaving it wet before bed with the weather, so we blow dry. She loves the thing and thinks it play time so it's been taking longer than usual to get her down after bath time.

So my question is, since the weather has cooled down, what are you doing for bath routines? Any special tricks to keep the chill away? For those LOs with lots of hair, what have you been doing to keep warm noggins?

    I got one of those squishy memory foam bath mats that I lay down on the floor so I can dry her off and dress her right there instead of taking her to her room naked. 

    As for her hair, I use a hooded towel and leave it on until she's dressed then just kind of hand dry. By the time she's fed and in her crib it's dry.

    Speaking of more plush towels, have any of you found any nice and thick towels that are still baby soft? The ones we received from my shower were just thin and crappy hooded towels plus one nicer one from PB Kids, but the thin ones aren't cutting it anymore and he is getting too long for them. Anyone have any recommendations?

    @Trish625 - we got a lot of thick, soft towels from babies r us that we use for her bath. I don't know how long they are though since we've got a shorty on our hands...

    S has quite a bit of hair but we've only recently started doing baths more than twice a week, although we only use soap 2 times a week still. We usually have her in the hooded towels while we dry her off and get her diaper on and stuff like that then we just towel dry her and brush her hair down. by the time she gets dried off, diapered and lotioned up, clothes put on and fed, her hair is dry. I guess I don't worry about the cold temps since we just keep the heater running in the house so the temp is the same as it was when it wasn't so cold.

    @trish625 we have nice thick ones from Babies R Us too. Not sure if they are the same ones @crazycoffeegirl is referring to.


    They don't have a hood and aren't quite as big as my hooded towels, but nice and thick.

    I take DD a bath every other day or every two days. I turn up the heat before I bathe her I also have a space heater in the room. She has a head full of hair and I try to towel dry as much as possible by the time the house starts cooling down her hairs dried, I turn the heat down once she's dressed.
