Is it normal to not have a response "yet" on CD11 ? I took Letrozole, 3 2.5 pills a day, CD 2-6 and went for B/W yesterday (no U/S as the tech had to leave early). According to B/W, my hormones are low and we need to redo tests on Monday (CD 14). Last month I had one mature follicle after one round of one pill a day (no response) and then a round of 2 pills a day. Is it possible not to respond each month? Ugh so confused...
I have PCOS also. I don't have much experience but this cycle my first round was 2.5 (1 pill a day) by cd18 my biggest follie was 13mm. My RE decided instead of calling the cycle a bust, he started me on 2.5 x2 a day right away then 9 days later did another U/S. On that U/S I had a follie at 27mm. I was able to trigger and begin TI.
Me: 35 DH: 29
TTC: Since 10-31-2007
Dx: Me: PCOS, an-ovulation DH: Nothing so far
2007-2011 - Tried Clomid, Ovidrel Trigger with TI -BFN
11/2013 - back to RE for new plan.
Cycle 1: Letrozole cd3-7; U/S cd12 (27mm left); ovidrel trigger; progesterone test and suppositories - BFN
HSG- 12/16/13 - clear and "Beautiful" per Dr. Attaran
Cycle 2- Letrozole cd3-7, ovidrel trigger, progesterone test and suppositories-BFN
Sorry that you are going through this. I am also on letrozal, last cycle I had one mature follie taking 5mg once a day cd-3-cd7. This cycle I have four. It can be stressful not knowing what is going on and why it isn't working.
What you are going through reminds me of what I went through on clomid, I had to do stair stepping (two rounds of clomid in the same cycle) and had no response to only one mature follie. Hang in there, hoping you get good news next week.

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.
My first cycle, I didn't respond enough to trigger until almost CD 24. I think PCOS makes our bodies all whacky. I've never taken Letrozole, but once they upped my injectables (Bravelle primarily for cycle #2), I responded more like clockwork. Good luck @MAnn620
2 years of trying and 4 months of fertility with injectables.
Gave up after mc.
Got Pregnant on our own and now due 10.28.14
Hi MAnn620, I'm in the same boat as you. In fact, we are on the same CD!! I'm taking Femara and injectibles and still nothing. I keep telling myself it's because we're new to this and it takes awhile to get the meds right-everyone responds differently! Though from the others it sounds like being a late responder is not so uncommon. Stinks though when the meds are so expensive. I can't help but have this running tally in my head every time we re-order!
All welcome Me (35), DH (32) married in May 2013 Dx PCOS 2006 DX hypothyroid 2013 11/2013-Hysteroscopy to remove mystery scar tissue 11/2013 IUI #1 using Femara and Repronex- switched to IVF for too many follies and then cancelled due to lack of growth after more than three weeks of playing with the meds 1/2/14 New doc, new office: Add Metformin 1500mg, Synthroid increased to 75mcg, bunch of OTC supplements 1/28/14 ER # 1 and 2 (yes, that's two ERs in one cycle...long story) 14R, 14M, 12F, 5 made it to blast for CCS biopsy 2/25/14 CCS results in: three healthy frosties!! 4/10/14 FET cancelled due to mucus and lining. Different med protocol for FET 1.2 5/2/14 Transfer of one CCS'd and completely hatched 6 day blast 5/11/14 BFP!!! First Beta 99 5/13/14 Second Beta 170
I had a very slow response during my first injects cycle. Since it was my first time to do injects, my doctor started me at the lowest possible dose & it took the highest possible dose before I started responding. My E2 levels did not start to increase until CD13 I think. CD11 is still a little early so hopefully something starts happening in the next couple of days. GL!

Ok ladies, here's my update: CD 14, 3 follies that haven't matured yet, one measuring in at 16 (not sure if that was the biggest one)... They will probably tell me to wait it out a few more days!
