Lol. My view

This was my view last night during my first work pumping session. Yup, I'm in a pantry, sitting on top of the deep freeze.

  • I hope you are aware of your pumping rights as a nursing mother. You are LEGALLY entitled to a private, clean pumping room. It's law in the ACA.

  • I am aware of the laws, there just aren't many options where I work. I chose this room to not inconvenience my co worker. I could pump in our med room, but the staff really does need to get in there pretty often. While it wouldn't bother me to have them in and out, the residents can see into the room through the blinds, Don't want to give them a show!

I work in a group home and there aren't many private areas that aren't bathrooms or resident bedrooms. My other totally private option is the laundry room, which is quite large, but it gets pretty warm in there !
