I should probably hang my head in shame... With DD, I had a mild case of hemorrhoids towards the end of my pregnancy, which the doctor said was from being on my feet all day with the extra weight (I'm a teacher and I worked until a few days before my due date). Pushing out DD for 2 1/2 hours during delivery only made it worse. I've recovered since then, but I have a feeling they're back...probably from the constipation (sorry, another tmi issue). I'm so annoyed. Anyone else dealing with this? Anything I can do to prevent them from getting worse?...I still have a long ways to go. (Still teaching btw and on my feet all day)
Re: Can we talk about (gasp) hemorrhoids for a sec?
I have no advice unfortunately, but just wanted to commiserate. I was in the exact same situation with DS' pregnancy. Got them towards the end of the pregnancy, then pushed for almost three hours during labor. It was a disaster down there for a little while afterwards! I don't remember being constipated so early in that pregnancy like I am with this one. Seriously, constipation was one of my first symptoms with this one. Ugh.
Hopefully someone else will have some good advice!

URGH, yes!!!! My mother has cursed me with many of her ailments and hemmroids /fissures are definitely on the list.....even pre-pregnancy I've had issues. If you can believe it, they started when I was 13. YES, FREAKIN' 13!!!! Here I thought I had my period the first time (now I know what a laugh that really is) but nope, just bulging veins in mah butt, lol.
Anywho, I had painful poop issues which made the hemm/fissures really bad. If I hadn't been used to it, I'd have been really freaked out by what was on my TP. ...so I took two Colace (RE's recommendation) for a few mornings, drank lots of apple juice which made things easier to come out. Then I made sure to get a lot of fiber and whole grains and stopped taking the Colace. Things were a lot better for awhile there....but the poop issues are coming back so I'm back on my regiment.
Hope you feel better soon, I think that is the worse pregnancy symptom, yuck
