AWing my older little :)

I just have to share this and in a few years you'll want to shout shit like this from the rooftops too lol.  He is going to school tomorrow in underwear because I'm finally convinced he's potty trained (which is hell, BTW).  He's only had one small accident since Thursday and has had underwear or a totally dry pull up besides that (except overnight).  It's really no joke - they do it when they're ready.  I knew he could do it but he just WASN'T and no matter what we did, he just wasn't having it so we encouraged and asked but didn't force and all of a sudden it just clicked.  Yay!

  • Awesome! DS has absolutely no interest in trying so we're not pushing it yet.

    How old is DS1?

He's 3.5. We started trying in January and tried a few weekends of naked shadowing and he'd do great while naked but the minute he had underwear on, he'd pee.  And he'd NEVER take off a pull up to pee.  He did good with poop almost from day one though, which, supposedly, is usually the harder part for most boys.  My kid is backwards :)

I'm dreading potty training. DS is so flippin' stubborn so it's not going to be easy :S

I'm glad that it finally clicked for him. I would be shouting it from the rooftops, too. :)

Wooooohooo! I wish J could use the potty now! Lol His poops stink from the little bit of veggies that hes having. I cant imagine what it will be like once he really starts eating food. I was spoiled up until now. :/
Listen to me.  It's horrible.  Invest in noseplugs and bleach for your eyes.  Carrots and blueberries will never be the same for  you again.

And while we're on this, let me give you a tip on first birthday cupcakes.  If you use really pigmented frosting (like red for Elmo and blue for Cookie Monster, err, not that I would know) be prepared for many calls from other parents.  The reactions will range from "LOL this is my second but I forgot how much it affects their shit" to "OMG, daycare called me in a panic and I almost took so and so to the doctor because we thought there was BLOOD in his diaper/he ate playdoh/paint."

  • That's incredible!!! Go A!!!

Bradley peed on the potty yesterday, but that's because he was posted up on it for 30 minutes in front of the TV. He moves to the next class starting tomorrow and they are more "intense" about PT.

    Congrats momma

  • DS2 is pretty much trained and he starts pre-school tomorrow too. He does great at peeing but when it comes to pooping, he just doesn't want to go in the toilet. I let me run around naked when we started and now he wants to stay naked if we are at home. I always joke with DH that DS2 is going to be a nudist when he grows up.

  • Congrats! DS1 is mostly trained with twice a month or less nighttime accidents. He does have damp underwear every few days from waiting until the last possible moment. Not a big deal but I wish he'd figure out that feeling doesn't just go away!
  • Congrats I know you must be proud and happy to only have one in diapers.

Ds1 has been poop potty trained since he was exactly 2. Pee has been another story. He will be 3 in February and he has accidents all if the time. Oddly, if he has a diaper on he is more likely to use the potty to pee compared to if he has underpants on. I don't get it.
