Best toys for 0-3 mos. babies

Morning! I'm searching for a couple toys to gift LO this year for Christmas, as the grandparents are insisting on a list! I'm thinking about a jumperoo and possibly the piano playmat. All the toy guides also recommend balls, high-contrast books, blocks, and textures. Anything y'all can recommend in particular, based on experience? :-? Bonus points for clicky links!

I know they're little, but I was recently given a Comotomo teether. I opened it bc it's cool looking & my friend was here with her 5 month old who LOVED it. I'm so happy i have one for DS when the time comes. It's a great stocking stuffer.

Ugh, I can't wait til this kid is old enough for a jumperoo! He is obsessed with being bounced nonstop, I think he will love the jumperoo. If only he'd start holding his giant noggin up by himself...

Any of the activity mats with toys hanging over the baby. We have the ocean themed one by baby Einstein and use the taggies to hang all sorts of other little toys on it. Ds is only four weeks and he loves it. He bats at the rattles and the whale, and coos at them. We do play time on it usually two or three times a day and he is happy there for at least fifteen or twenty minutes.

@has615, it looks like everyone has the Fisher Price kick & play piano gym.

My mom got LO these blocks for Christmas that are soft but they have different things for him to "explore" like a mirror and one block you can pull and it vibrates they were at Target. Also we found a phone that plays music and lights up it can hang from the carseat.

The Lamaze toys are great,,,.we love Jacque the peacock. Black and white contrast, different textures, etc.

I got some soft books, a set of soft blocks, this musical activity ball thing, and a jellycat bear. I figure even if he can't play with some of it yet, he will shortly into the new year so might as well get it as a Christmas gift.

Oh crap, I have that and haven't taken it out of the box yet. I just assumed he'd need to be a little bit older than 9 weeks to enjoy it. Guess I'd better get some batteries and pop that sucker open!
