It's December!!

Wow! One year girls! So much is different in my life and it's everything I dreamt of and more. So happy to be a mom of a happy and healthy baby girl soon to be toddler! What are some things that are different than you thought about life now with your Dec 2012 addition?

    Agreed! Was thinking the other day, that at this point in time, was 1 week into my maternity leave.

    Never realized that my husband would be able to sleep through me quietly talking to him when trying to get his attention, however he fully wakes up when I am whispering to LO (and trying NOT to wake hime up).

    DH hears LOs cries better than I do, and that he is an extreemly involved Dad (to the point that he has changed just as many or more diapers compared to myself). Didn't anticipate that we'd still be nursing at this point, and never planned to cosleep however it works for us.

    I never realized how much we would STOP buying for ourselves.  And how much we really don't care.  Her clothes, books, cloth diapers, etc always come first now, and we don't second guess it one bit.  I just bought myself a new pair of jeans last month, and I think it's the first item of clothing I've purchased for myself since maternity clothes haha :)

    Yay December! We were reflecting a lot over Thanksgiving about how different life is now. It's so weird to think back to a year ago when I was staring at my belly thinking, "Who are you? What will you be like?" And now I look at him and think, "Of course, it's you! I couldn't imagine you any other way."

    And one year ago, I was still working. Living in Chicago, freaking out about when and how I'd go back to work, what we'd do about childcare, how we'd afford our condo. Now we've sold the condo, moved an hour away to the burbs. I quit my job, and DH just landed a new job. Life is so different - and SO much sweeter!
