How often do you bath your baby?

I keep hearing moms bathing their babies everynight to put baby to sleep. I've tried it all, except for this. I usually bath little one once or twice a week. I guess I thought too much bathing would cause dry skin but I'm willing to try it if it works.

Mine gets a bath every night, but only every other with baby soap. The other nights it's just warm water, then we do a mini massage with baby lotion. It's part of his bedtime routine and he started sleeping for 6 hours, then 8.

We tried bath every night (but I only actually washed him with soap every 2 nights, otherwise just a wet washcloth wipe down) and I didn't notice it helping make him sleepy. So now we just do bath with soap every other night. I figure I'll try again when he's a little older.

Andrew gets a bath every night as the start of his bedtime routine. He really likes his tubby time so that is why he gets a bath every night. I use Mustela newborn soap on him and so far haven't noticed any issues with dry skin.

He gets one every night as his bedtime routine but he only gets soap and shampoo twice a week. Every other night is just warm water on his body.

Usually every other day, not part of bedtime routine. I really need to establish a bedtime routine, so I may try having bathtime part of it, but would only use soap ever other night, so his skin doesn't dry out.

This. Then he gets a massage then book then falls asleep nursing. He sleeps 4-7 hours after that.

Once a week. She's not dirty and it doesn't help her get sleepy (she hates getting out so it's just Scream Fest 2013 every time the bath ends). I keep thinking I should do it more often so maybe she'll get used to it but it's such a pain for us. Our bathroom isn't big enough to store her tub so it's some work to get everything set up. Plus, she's sleeping 9 hours at night without it.

I give him a bath every other night, sometimes every 3rd night if it's a hectic or busy day. He loves the bath but because of his reflux I try to give him a bath right before I feed him so he doesn't puke everywhere so it's not really part of our bedtime routine.

I do make sure it's relatively quiet in the house after about 8 and then I feed him his last bottle at 8:30, and I feed it to him in his room. Then we read two books and I sing to him in the rocking chair and rock him to sleep. He usually falls asleep between 9:30-10 and sleeps until 4ish when I feed him again. He does wake up and fuss sometimes but he usually falls back asleep on his own.

I do a lavender bath every night, sometimes I skip a night if she's already sleepy around bath time. I do however notice her skin is getting dry, but we've also had heat on because the weather here is like -20C already so that's not helping. I've been rubbing her down with coconut oil for about a week now though so it evens out I suppose.

We do every other day. With DD1 we did every day (and soap only every other) but we don't have time with DD2. If we don't do every other her hair starts to get oily/nasty.

2-3x/wk. Our pedi doesn't recommend any more frequently than this with soap. They also don't recommend motioning regularly, since babies don't need it and a lot of them don't have the best ingredients.

Twice a week- unless he needs one sooner. He hates it! He sleeps just fine. Our house is warm but the bathroom is drafty and he hates being cold.

Usually 2 or 3 times a week. If it's more frequent (especially greasy baby) then we might just use water. Baths definitely do not make my baby sleepy.

My DS gets a bath every night with Johnson bedtime bath and a bit of baby oil in the water. We do soap every 3 days or so. He loves bathtime and looks forward to it. It doesn't make him sleepy but it relaxes him. Afterwards he gets lotion/massage then soon after fed and bed. DS has no skin issues that I can tell of and his first stretch of sleep is usually 4-6 hours, but I don't know that it's related.

We do a bath twice a week, DD has super-sensitive skin and even with lotion she gets pretty dry after a bath. Also I wouldn't do it as a bedtime routine for her since she hates getting out of the tub and usually cries.

She gets a bath about twice a week. I wash her hands and neck at least once everyday. She's just gotten to where she doesn't scream the whole bath, so it really wouldn't be relaxing for anyone.

I wipe LO down with warm water every night, but only give him a full bath once or twice a week. He is just so unbelievably squirmy all the time that it's just easier to give him a full bath when DH is off work to help me.

Lo gets a warm bath every night and LOVES it. To avoid screaming when they get out turn up the temperature in the room before hand and put them rigt away in a warm towel. We then blow dry with the hair dryer on medium heat (not too hot or too cold) and give a coconut oil or aveno baby lotion massage, then book, boob and bed. We only use soap every second day. Lo knows when it tub time and starts getting a bit fussy if we try to delay tub time if we are at home. If we are out with him it's like he's distracted and forgets about bath time.

We bathe her 2-3 times a week because she doesn't seem dirty and it doesn't seem to make her sleepy so it's not part of her bedtime routine. In fact she had one tonight and she had a harder time falling asleep than normal. Idk if the bath was the specific reason or not but just an observation I noticed. I do plan on trying the Johnson's Night Lotion but have not yet done so.

Ours is 1-2x/week as well. I use Dr. Bronner's unscented mild Castile baby soap in bar form (more moisturizing). for massage afterwards I use grapeseed oil with vitamin E (got it at whole foods. wanted whatever goes on baby's skin to be something he could eat and will be fine since his hands are always going in his mouth).

Once or twice a week. More if he poops or pukes on himself, which is rare. It doesn't help him fall asleep, so I usually do it once DH is home from work and can help keep DS1 occupied. He likes to help (which is fine if DH is around to help him help).

Every other day. She loves the bath but hates getting out of it like some PPs said. I wish I could figure it a way to make that part better because I love bath time
