  types: prefolds/fitteds/pockets/AIOs/ and various covers
  I don't have any flats/snap-in style AI2s... but I guess prefolds/covers count as an AI2 essentially.  I also haven't tried disposable inserts yet... so no hybrids...

  I voted that we have 2... We use Freetimes for DC and BBs for overnight and weekends.
  However, we also own cheapie pockets that are terrible and are only used for swim dipes, so I don't count them.

  Pockets: Alva, Kawaii, Sunbaby, BumGenius, Lotus Bumz (don't worry I learned my lesson from the 1 everyone lol), and Nicki's Diapers. Planning on ordering a couple Fuzzibunz sometime next week.

  I voted for the 2nd option since I currently use 2 styles of diaper, though I have several brands.
  
  My stash is pockets and PFs/covers:
  PFs: GMD and Flip organic night
  Covers: Blueberry and Thirsties
  Pockets (stuffed with Diaper Rite flats): Kawaii, RaR and Blueberry
  
  That said, I've used fitteds plus other brands of pockets & covers in the past.

  I'm just starting, but I'm pretty sure I want to do prefolds/fitteds and covers.  My stash will probably change a lot as I get actual hands-on experience.

  
  

  These are between NB, S1, and OS with a few S2 - I'm hoping ideally I have enough to get through all the diapering years (minimum needed - I'm already addicted, but trying not to over-buy!)

  We don't have a huge variety yet, but if I keep buying things we will We had prefolds/covers for the newborn stage and now we have pockets and a few AIO's.

  Brands are - GMD prefolds & Thirsties covers, Pockets - BG's, CB's, Imagine & Nicki's, AIO's- Freetimes, with Grovia & Simplex on the way!!

  I got my OS Sweet Pea cover from amazon.  Not sure it's the best price (I got 15% off for doing my registry).  I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorites!  I'd get more, but I promised DH not to buy any more diapers until I can prove to him that we "need" more

  Flats & capri style covers from a variety of companies. (My favorite style) I like Blueberry/Swaddlebees, but they're a bit pricey.

  
  

  Mostly BG 4.0 pockets & a handful of BG Freetimes. (My husbands favorite styles) Have a Rumparooz & Blueberry pocket, and a Fuzzibunz Elite I got free with a KellysCloset order (haven't used it yet).

  
  

  Also a half dozen GMD workhorse fitteds, which are in the mail on their way here now.  I think my husband will prefer those to the flats, and I really want to stop using the pockets if we can.

  • prefolds (GMD and a few Baby Kicks) and covers (Thirsties, Bummis, Best Bottoms and Blueberry)
  • AIOs (Blueberry - love, love, love)
  • Pockets (BG 4.0, that we stuff with Baby Kicks hemp prefolds)
  • Fitteds (Twinkie Tush) and wool covers (Kissaluvs and Woollybottoms OTW) for ON
    

  
  We also have Best Bottoms inserts on the way and will most likely be getting some more wool soakers/longies soon to start using fitteds and wool more during the day too.

  I voted one type, but that's not entirely true. We have all BG 4.0s that we use pretty much all the time. I have a handful of Kawaiis that I've gotten as freebies/cheap that we use occasionally, and that I plan to sell soon (once I get my hands on the new BG prints!). Our newborn stash was totally different though (fitteds, prefolds and covers) and I still have some prefolds and fitteds that fit now, though I use them pretty rarely. I'd be happy to have only our BG and will probably destash the others at some point unless our needs change.

  I voted 1 type since I started with all prefolds and covers (3 brands of covers though) and then switched to AI2s (6 BB and I cheated and used the BB inserts in my prefold covers a bit in the beginning) and now I'm going back to prefolds in my BB covers and attempting to do wool covers for the first time.  I did have some pockets but I used them more as covers with my BB inserts than I ever did as pockets.

  I have a love/hate relationship with my SweetPea cover -- I love how well it works but I hate all the snaps. About the time I want to sell it, I use it and like it again for a few changes then I want to sell it again.
