Job Interview with Sick Baby

So i have an out of town job interview monday and Tuesday. I'm breastfeeding, and DH wants to see the city, so the three of us are going. The place I'm interviewing with got us a hotel for Monday night. Problem is DS has come down with a wicked cold. He was up literally every hour last night mostly b/c he couldn't breathe. Tonight I'm gonna sleep  in another room and give DH baby duty, but tomorrow, we'll be in a hotel room, so there will be no escaping. Any suggestions? Any tricks to getting a sick baby to sleep better (would sleepign in his swing help since it's elevated?) My only other option is to leave DH and DS at home, which I didn't want to do.

  • Get a vaporizer.  I got one for $13.99 at cvs, so I would get one in the city you are going to unless you are driving.  It helps so much! Put some capmhor in the vaporizer and you'll feel like you are sleeping in a rainforest!

    Good luck!

  • Thanks - we actually have a vapirizer. What kind of camphor and how do you put it in?
  • store bran liquid camphor works for us...vick's makes a branded camphor, but the store brand is usually wayyyyy cheaper.  You just dump it into the water in the vaporizer.  You use about a capfull/ maybe 3 tbsps.  Right into the water w/ the salt.

    It's awesome!
