Should I delete this girl off of my Facebook?

I know this isn't a baby topic, but I wanted to go somewhere to ask women who I don't know and knew would be honest lol.

My husbands best friend's wife and I don't click. We are the same age, but she was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth and doesn't really get life. She's not one you'd go to with a problem. She is so preppy and so upbeat it kind of makes me nauseous. For a while, I felt forced to be her friend since our husbands are close and work together. Not to mention they literally live a few houses away. We both have kids too. I tried to be friends with her and we talked and spent some time together.

I don't really want her on my Facebook... but don't want it to be awkward either if I have to see her again. I don't think she's a bad person, but I also don't want to be friends being that were so different and she's annoying.

I miss my old friends back home who I could relate to. They know what hard times are like and she's just all giggles and kids all day. Even when I try to open up and have an in depth conversation, she don't get it.

Do you not want her to see what you post on Facebook? Pictures, posts, etc? If that's the case but you don't want it to be akward I would make a filter for her ("acquaintances") and edit your posting settings so she doesn't see everything you do if you don't want to share. Also, remove her from your newsfeed. I have this setting for coworkers that I don't want to delete but don't want to share everything with at the same time.

I just don't want people on there that I really don't like. But its awkward because she's already there.... lol

Just hide her from your newsfeed. It's like she doesn't exist after that.

I mean, if she lives a few houses down from you chances are you're going to see her again.

Good lord... when did FB become the end all be all of relationship statuses? If you don't want her on your FB, un-friend her. Who cares about awkward? She can't appreciate what little effort you're willing to make face-to-face in order to maintain a relationship, she just wants to see your baby's first solids photo? I don't get why this gets so complicated...
