When did your kicks/movements get stronger?

I'm 22w6d and the last week, it feels like baby girl is now a baby instead of a flopping goldfish! I now don't have to "make" her move by drinking juice or poking my belly, she's just almost always moving. I can feel her kicks up higher too.

This is soooo exciting for me. I've had some bumps in this road with complications (sch, placenta previa, degenerating fibroid) and anxiety. Her moving around in there more than just early morning and late night is a real blessing. Just had to share!!

Re: When did your kicks/movements get stronger?

  • They've been increasing in strength over the last several weeks, but it's just been the last few days (I am 24 wks 3 days) that they have really gotten harder and more frequent.  I had trouble getting to sleep last night because she wouldn't calm down, lol.

  • I have an anterior placenta and while I can feel movement I def can't feel a majority of it. We had a stress test done yesterday and I could feel maybe 20 percent of the movements she was doing if that. Which may be a good thing because this little girl is a mover and a shaker
  • I'm 24w and I've been feeling consistent movements for the past 2-3 weeks. Kicks in the bladder of at the middle of the night aren't particularly enjoyable physically, but I love to feel that our baby is becoming more and more ''real'' and that we'll get to see him soon!
  • I am 23w6d also have an anterior placenta - I didn't start feeling movement until last Sunday night and still am only feeling it late night/early mornings :( I'm anxious to feel stronger movements more frequently but just keep telling myself to be patient. We also borrowed my SIL's doppler so I can at least hear the heartbeat :)

  • Over the past few weeks, since like w. 24 her movements have been getting consistantly stronger! Buy she is also starting to sleep more often. I am starting to pick up her patterns a lot easier!

  • I'm 23 weeks today and I started feeling strong kicks & movement on a consistent basis just this last week as well. DH finally felt her move and I can actually see my stomach move when she kicks hard now!

  • I'm 25 weeks today and I really noticed them a couple weeks ago. About a week ago I could even see them from the outside and DH could feel them as well.
  • A few weeks ago, probably at 20 weeks. Now I can feel with my hand from outside, especially after I eat:). My husband felt for the first time on thanksgiving:).
  • I've been feeling movement since 18w, and for the past few weeks it seems to have been pretty strong, like where I occasionally can "see" my belly moving. Last night (27w) was the first time this kid was doing jumping jacks for an hour as I was trying to sleep! This will get annoying...

  • I'm 23 weeks 1 day and have been worried about when I should start feeling what.  I have felt the fish/gurgling every now and again, but nothing consistently.  Last night I drank some ice water and laid on my side and waited but didn't feel anything.  But right now I'm sitting at my desk and just felt that gurgling movement... really anxious to feel consistent kicks and KNOW they are kicks and can't wait to see them.
  • I have an anterior placenta and I was starting to get upset that I wasn't feeling a lot, however this weekend my husband and I both felt her kick before bed. It was sooo amazing! Now that I'm feeling her more I feel more connected to her. I'm 23 weeks and 6 days.
  • I'm 26 weeks and my baby kicks for about an hour every three hours on the dot. Last night I didn't feel her as much and freaked out! I told my husband that if she doesn't kick by 6:00 or 9:00 am I'm going to call the Dr. At 4:00 am I drank a big glass of ice water and rubbed my belly and there she went. It was a huge relief. I get to start a kick count chart at 28 weeks which I'm very excited for. Good luck!

Ooooh I feel you on the degenerating fibroid. I had one of those but I wasn't pregnant at the time so I just took a lot of Advil for the pain. Hope yours isn't too painful!

I'm 26 1/2 weeks now and only recently did the movement get strong enough for DH to feel it for himself from the outside. I can't time them or anything but I do feel movement at least a couple times throughout each day now.

  • I felt slight movement starting around 15w but I felt the first real kick at 22w0d. The kind of movement that DH and I could both see from the outside. It's fun to feel them in there for sure, makes it seem really real.
