happy saturday- what are you doing today

We just got back home from florida today so sad to face reality of the cold in Virginia:(
Besides storytime and unpacking we may take a photo with santa!

    I'm hosting breakfast for dh's golf buddies before they head to their golf tourn. Them I'm heading over to mil's to get dd1. I will probably hang out there for awhile and bake some cookies!

    My oldest daughter is at a Christmas party this morning (its 845am here) until lunch time. Her birthday sleepover party is tonight..I still have so much to do! Cut up fruit, wrap her gifts, clean up the playroom and vacuum, tidy the kitchen and make her cupcakes. But yet, I'm enjoying my coffee first and catching up on bumping lol.

    I started to put up decorations and decided that I hate all the Christmas decorations I own. It put me in a bad mood so Im not going to put up much this year. We will be away for 9 days and no one ever comes over our house anyway. I really want to go out and buy all new stuff..but who has money for that?

    Working on my final and maybe some cleaning. I have a cranky baby and h is still sleeping, so I don't know how much I will get done. I have no idea what time he got home from work, but I found him asleep on the couch around 7.

    Finished unpacking and cleaning.
    Sounds like you all are well into your saturday plans! I changed the time for my working mom group holiday gtg and plan to put up our tree and wreath and mail our holiday cards at some point this weekend!

    Ended up going to target for construction paper. Spent $100! Ahhh evil store. Got great deals tho. Jeans were $6 plus 15% off w cartwheel!

    Looked at the house (mentioned earlier). It needs a lot of work but that's what my DH is into :)

    How big was the house? How far from your current one? We are thinking of moving from our semidetached to a SFH in 2 years or so. I love our location and my LO's school though

    About 15 mins away. It's on a lake. I need it.

    DH wants to add a slanted roof on top and make a giant loft up there. And he works in the building supply industry and is SO handy so he'll do siding and new windows :)

    @mbm1983 it is on the lake. they're asking $250k. Its valued at $313k in the condition its in. The house next-door sold for $323k not long ago and that one is only 1700 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 1/2 baths. This one is 3600 sq ft., 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. I think its an amazing opportunity especially since DH knows how to do all the work it would need!

    New siding and windows. I'd like to redo the kitchen. The roof is flat. DH will add a nonflat roof on top and make that space between the flat roof and new roof a loft. Then he'll add a deck to the top floor so you walk out to a lake view :)

    It's all hardwood flooring so we won't need to replace that. And if we do, DH can do that too.

    Simple stuff like painting.

    Man- that house sounds like an amazing deal! The reno stuff sound real simple!
    We plan to fix our yard early next year and may put our place up for sale in 2015 or for the right price next year-ha!
