Hi everyone. I'm a FTM, and at 16 weeks now, but have been experiencing menstrual like cramps for about 2 weeks now. Everything I read makes it sounds like Round Ligament Pain, and my doctor also said RLP, and to not be overly concerned. Is anyone else experiencing this? Trying to be logical about it, but definitely unnerving when it's first pregnancy! Thanks for any advice!!
My round ligament pain only happens when I sneeze, cough, or rollover too fast. For me, it's a sharp pain that goes away pretty quickly (like stubbing your toe-ish). I get the menstrual like cramps, too but I think that's more of a stretching thing for me. Everyone experiences pregnancy differently so if your doctor isn't alarmed you and baby are more than likely fine.
I've been experiencing this as well. It's usually when I make sudden movements or get up the wrong way, but this pain is more intense and excruciating than menstrual cramps.
However, I have had period like cramps as well, I get these if I'm overly active, on my feet a lot, or carry my DD for too long.
I am almost 17 weeks and I still have a lot of what feels like cramping in my hips and lower abs. I imagine this will probably continue for a while as I grow?
for me RLP feels like someone is poking me REALLY hard - its short and hard, and then gone. Happens when I roll over, change positions, whatever. Ive never had cramping tho...
Re: Cramps? Round Ligament Pain?

It's normal, albeit annoying, but normal.
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
