Vent: I'm fat :(

I know, I know, I'm not fat, I'm 4 months pregnant. But none of my clothes fit, my regular clothes are too tight, my maternity clothes are too baggy. No matter what I wear, I look sloppy and feel gross.

And it doesn't help that I haven't been working out. But I don't have a gym at work anymore, and by the time I get home I only have an hour and a half with E before she goes to sleep, and I start getting things ready for the next day and get ready for bed myself right after I put her down because I'm freaking exhausted.

I hate this awkward in-between phase.

That's what I tried today, but I look all lumpy. Plus my flat boots bit the dust yesterday and I am NOT wearing heels all night. I think it's more an issue of what I think than others. I'm very hard on myself and have very poor body image. This is a really rough time for me.

If it makes you feel better, I am not at that in between stage but am full blown huge. My paralegal told me on Monday that I need to tell my boss because it is obvious. I have had several strangers comment on me being pregnant. I am bigger than everyone else on my bmb...even the twin moms. Dh told me I looked as big now as when I delivered DS. Even worse, I took a pic and compared it to one when I was 6 to 7 months preggo with ds and they were basically identical. I feel like a freak.

Hugs, @TJ1979! I hear you on the "no exercise" part, and I have worse excuse than you, since I'm SAHM and I'm not PG! It's just so hard to take M out for walks now that it's freezing cold and the days are so short. I'm so scared that I'll gain a lot of weight back this winter, between the holidays and lack of exercise and gradual weaning. And I have NO excuse since I'm not pg!

Can you do sweater dresses? Did you ever use those bella bands? I swore by them when I was pg. Kind of a pain to use, but they let me wear my regular pants for many weeks. Hope this awkward phase passes by soon.

((Hugs)) believe me, I understand being hard on yourself. It took a very long time for me to be willing to accept a compliment, and it's still hard for me.

If you can, have a make over day! If your boobs allow it, get an awesome bra from VS, a kick ass new pair of boots and add a Bella band to smooth out the in-between belly. I'm sure that you still look great to everyone who sees you. You'll be sporting a sweet little bump in no time

The awkward in between phase sucks. The good news is that you will be sporting an awesome baby bump soon! I can empathize though. My hair is all falling out and nasty. My stomach is a mess from the twin pregnancy. I do not feel good about myself right now. It's not a good feeling. I have found that fun accessories help b/c they don't have to fit anything. Yesterday I wore a fun scarf with my sweater and I actually felt better about how I looked.

Thanks @cinciem! I haven't had the stretching pains or rlp like the first time either. But I'm glad to hear things haven't been too tough.
I've been meaning to ask, did your dd end up self weaning? I don't think E is getting any milk really, but she can't quit that bedtime session. Although I'm not sure I'm ready either.
