1st haircut before or after 1yr pics?

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
What would you do? DS is starting to rock a mullet so I'd like to get him a haircut but not sure if I should do it before or after his pics- is there some sort of rule (like the no haircut till 1yr for boys) that I'm missing? I can't decide if I want him to look cute and baby or have more of a big boy haircut.

    I didn't get DD1's hair cut until her 2nd birthday, but her's was so curly adorable, and she is a girl, so I think it's more common. If it were me though, I would wait it out. But I don't have a boy, so I guess my opinion is void. DH would definitely be urging me to cut a little boy's hair.

    We had our LO cut at 10 months.  He sooooo needed it, he had a mullet, and people were saying he was a beautiful little girl!!! See our post from a few weeks back.

    We got DD's hair cut just before she turned 11 months because her bangs were always in her eyes and I was tired of fighting her over it (she doesn't like you to mess with her hair or try and put clips or hairbands on)

    I would do it before since it sounds like it needs it and will add more of a "i'm 1 year old and all grown up!" touch to the pics lol.
    DS (7 years old) from FET in 2010
    DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012

    DS is getting a bit of a mullet too, but I personally want to hold off as long as possible, since the idea of altering anything about how he looks makes me sad! So I'd leave it. Totally personal preference, though.

    I'm with @thisdecaflife. DS probably won't need a hair cut until he's 3 at the rate it's growing. Lol!

    I'm trying to decide this same thing! We've already shaved his head once because he was born with a full head of black hair. It fell out on the sides, but he still had hair on the top of his head and the back. Then his hair started growing in dark blonde, yeah that looked weird with the black mohawk he had going on. Now it's all blonde, but it's only long on the sides. The back and front look just fine. So I can tuck his hair behind his ears. I know I should get it cut, but I don't want him to look more grown up!

    Our DS had his hair cut last week at 8 months. It was way too long all over his ears and in his eyes. I was sad about it but we had to. Now he looks freaking adorable, like a big boy, but adorable.
