One of my acquaintances (former co-worker, friends on Facebook) just announced their baby girl name: Aurora.
I love it! In fact, it's our on short-list if we have a girl.
Funny thing, they already have "Rowan" (girl) and we have "Ronan" (boy). Ronan was actually their choice for a boy name for their baby #1, which we didn't know until after DS was born and they even gave us a few "Ronan" things they had bought before they knew the gender of their kid.
Hypothetically speaking, if someone already had kid named something very similar, and then they used the same name as you for baby #2, would you be doing major side-eye to them? I know it's majorly hypothetical, we may never have a girl, and if we do we may choose a completely different name.
Re: 2 kids similar/same names as acquaintance?
All this!
