Who forgets their PNV allllllll the timeeee!!???

I totally forgot that I'm all out of PNV's and I haven't taken one in a few weeks. Whoopsies.

Do you forget? Or do you remember at all times? There's really no point to my asking...just feeling like mom of the year and wanted to see if anyone was a forgetful mess like me.

  • I don't take one. I took just folate while TTC and throughout the first tri, then stopped taking anything. Been drinking a lot of milk for the calcium, and I'm not anemic. My midwife thinks it's fine. Shrug.

  • I forced them down earlier on for the folic acid, but now I rarely remember to take them. I was the same way with my other kids :)

  • I haven't take one in at least 2 weeks...whoops. I think it's because the fish oil pills I take in combo with my PNV gross me out and make me gag. Regardless, I figure my mom had me without taking PNV's...and I turned out fine :) at least I think I did HA! :)

  • I frequently forget my pnv as well as the other medicines I take daily. I've been taking Synthroid and Prozac for a long time but I usually take them in the morning. Even at 24 weeks I can't stomach taking any medicines in the morning though. And when I don't take them in the morning, it's really hard for me to remember to take them later... It's really not good that I haven't been taking the Synthroid everyday either... I've even trying really hard to remember but sometimes I still miss taking everything. Mom fail.

  • I don't take then. Don't even try anymore. I throw it up every time. I have tried all sorts. The gummies were the worst bc they gave me horrid diarrhea. I took them prior to pregnancy regularly and up to about 8 wks. So can't blame the defects on that. ;)
  • I'm pretty good at taking them, but one day, after I had gone through almost a whole bottle, I realized they were post-natal!! I didn't even know they made those!! They have all the same nutrients, so I didn't sweat it too much.

  • I remember most of the time. I may forget once a week or so. I take chewable ones because of my gag reflex early on. It's gone now but my vitamins taste like Flintstones!

I've always had SOME kind of pill to take. So I guess it's just part of my routine.

  • I keep mine in the dinner table and take them with dinner. I have such pregnancy brain ill always say to DH "I haven't taken one if these yet have I?" I swear I have a 5 second memory.
  • I switched brands about six weeks ago and realized today I should have been taking three pills - not one like I had been. At least baby got something these last six weeks!

  • I feel so much better now!!! I was beating myself up a wee bit for forgetting a few times (like, geez! It took you forever to conceive and now you can't even remember to take vitamins?!?). But now I'll just chalk it up to preggo brain and stop feeling so bad about it!
  • I forget all the time. They are more for u then they are for the baby anyways. But I eat a lot if vitmin enriched foods so I think that helps
  • I would forget all the time, but in the morning, when I take my thyroid meds, I put a PNV on its bottle right next to my toothbrush. That way as I'm brushing my teeth before bed, I see it and pop it in.

What's more of a challenge is my iron pill. I can't stomach it during the day (even though its slow release. And I can't take it with my PNV, and I can't take it within 4 hours of my thyroid meds, and I can't take it within 2 hours of food.

    PNV before bed
Iron in middle of night during a pee break
Thyroid when I wake up - if its been 4 hours since iron. If not, I wait. Bummer part is I then have to wait 1/2-1 hour to eat breakfast. :-(

  • I keep the bottle on my nightstand and take it every night! No problem with forgetting when it's right there staring at me. I forgot a couple times when I kept them on the kitchen counter. This has been working great!
