Boy or girl... Do you want to know?

I got my results from my panorama test yesterday. The nurse said the baby is fine, however, she didn't tell us the sex and now it's sealed in an envelope. I'm not sure when we will open it... It's so tempting! Do you want to know its sex now or is there anyone who waits until the birth to find out???? Just wondering! Oh and happy thanksgiving!!!

We are waiting until birth. I find the surprise exciting and I want my husband to be the one to announce to me after I'm done pushing

This! DH announced last time and that is the plan for this baby as well.

  • We are "team green" this time around. It very well could be our last pregnancy and we can't think of another time in life when we will get to experience this amazing surprise. (Sorry I'm sappy. Hormones stink!)

  • DH and I hate surprises lol. We want to know ASAP! :p

  • My husband wants to know. And I don't really care, so we're going to find out. But, if I can keep the secret, we'll be team yellow!

  • I wanted to wait and DH was indifferent but once our friends told us what they are having, DH now want's to know! As long as they are happy and healthy, I don't care if it's a boy or girl. In a perfect world DH would want at least 2 sons first.

I am only 10 weeks but I have a feeling it's going to be a boy....We will just have to wait and see!
  • I want to find out as soon as I can!
  • I want to know and wish I was getting one of the early blood tests so I could find out before February. We'll be having the tech put the results in an envelope and do a balloon release photo shoot or something cheesy :)

Partly, I want to know so I know if I can sell my daughters clothes or if they'll be used again, because the stash in the basement is getting huge!

  • We didn't find out last time. I wanted to but DH wanted the surprise. He didn't care if I knew as long as I didn't tell him, but there was no way I could keep that secret from him.

He has said that it is up to me this time, and after how nice it was to hear "it's a girl" last time, I don't know what I want to do. We plan on having more so it doesn't effect the amount of baby clothes we will be storing, our nursery is neutral so there won't be any painting. I don't know, I suspect it will be a "game day decision" during our anatomy scan.

  • I'm looking forward to knowing. A couple we are close with found out that they are having a little boy yesterday. Now I think that having a little boy will be great so that they can grow up as buddies. DH is sure it is a girl and has it planned out that the two of them will fall in love one day. I really couldn't care either way... I'm mostly looking forward to getting to know more about our LO.

  • We are finding out, partly because it's our second and if it's a boy, I'll need to start shopping so he isn't stuck wearing pink. We found out with our first and I felt there was still an element of surprise. Yes, you know they're coming but have no clue what he/she looks like. Everyone was expecting a brown hair, brown eye baby because that's what I am, and DH has blue eyes, but DD has blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin-complete opposite of mom! I would definitely say it was still a surprise.

We are waiting until birth to find out. This is our first, I'm the one that really wants to wait. I just want the surprise at least once and I think it will be fun to do some kind of reveal with this baby the next time we get pregnant. One of my best friends is an ultrasound tech so she will be doing our ultrasounds. I plan on going with her and hubby and picking out outfits to bring baby home in for a boy and girl and having her go back and purchase the one that we need and bring it to the hospital for us, since she will know what it is.
  • We will likely do what we did last time...I will find out and then let it be a surprise for dh. I managed to keep it as a surprise until about 4 hours before the birth last time. He kept wanting to talk about boys names, and I just wasn't in the mood to humor him because we were having a girl and finally told him...
  • Complete surprise! DH will announce sex to me as soon as he welcomes baby into this world <3
  • We are finding out at the shower.  I don't want to go the whole time, but I like some element of surprise.

  • We are finding out!!  I'm too impatient, I wanted to know as soon as I got lines on my test what it was.  We are having a gender reveal party, though, so it will be sealed in an envelope until the date of it. (maybe a week later).
  • We are totally finding out. I need to know what we are having especially since we are having twins.
  • I always said I didn't want to know. But now that I actually am pregnant it's driving me crazy not knowing.

We are going to find out. I've always known that I would when the time came. We'd rather know in advance so everything can be purchased and prepared to our liking for our baby boy or girl. I really don't have a preference on the sex but hubby wants a little boy (of course).

  • We're going to be surprised... at 20 weeks. :)

We've done it both ways, and we both liked knowing better.

  • We both want to know and feel it's a surprise finding out at say 20 weeks or at birth.  One just comes sooner to where I can call LO by their name prior to birth :).

  • My husband and I are ok with knowing the sex. Easier to plan clothing, room, etc. Harmony test comes back on Tues...so we'll know at 12w4d. Gotta love modern medicine!
  • We're waiting until the birth! I feel like that's so rare these days but we want to be surprised. I will admit, it is hard to find gender neutral clothing/items though... But still- it will make it all so much more exciting I think! My husband and I are also "that couple" that has names picked out (for either sex) but are keeping things tight lipped :)
  • We should find out Monday, blood test results should be in. I am a huge planner and have to know. DH and I both agree we would like to know so it's not an issue. We have one girl and one boy so were really excited to find out the tie breaker ;)

  • kristinelsa How long did it take you to get the results from the test?
  • We are planners too!  Found out with baby #1 at 21 weeks; found out with baby #2 at 13 weeks.   I kinda wish I would have waited longer this time for the ultrasound results versus the blood test results. Now the suspense and what ifs are gone.

Harmony took 2 weeks. At 12w4d our test results were negative for all Trisomy and we are having a boy. A true miracle baby.
  • I'd be perfectly fine waitung until birth but the grandparents and assorted relatives really want to know so they can start buyinf cute things. It's the 1st grandbaby so the excitement is justified. It's not a fight worth having so we'll find out. ..eventually.
