Number of Diaper Changes

I was just wondering how often you change wet diapers? I mean, messy ones get changed ASAP, but I usually change him after he wakes up and after every nap. Is this too infrequent? He usually poops once a day, so we probably go through 5 diapers a day and 1 overnight.

Unless it's poopy I change her when it starts feeling full.. My husband on the other hand thinks if she fusses she needs it changed.. Lol

Same as @jbatch for us. If she poops or the diaper feels squishy, she gets changed. That means once in the morning, once around 10ish, once after her nap, and once before bed plus any extra poopy diapers. That means about 4-6 changes / day.

We change her about 7 times a day. It probably wouldn't have to be that many times some days, but I think I get a little paranoid about diaper changes sometimes.

When she poops, I wait a little bit before I change her because my DD is a firm believer of "poos come in twos." I change pee diapers every time she eats.

Every 2 to 2.5 hours. We also cloth diaper so maybe we change more often.

Maybe I'm the odd man out on this but I don't change his diaper until it feels full, like 3-4 pees. Unless he poops- I always change him right after a poop. But my little fella goes through 3-5 diapers per day. Today only 3, first thing in the morning, mid day and then before bed. That's a little unusual for him though. Meh.

I do every 2-3 hours. He isn't necessarily full, but close enough. Maybe he just pees a lot? Little piggy drinks 40 oz a day.

I dont change pee diapers unless they are really full bc LO poops 4-5 times a day so im already changing frequently.

He gets one after each poop, and one before and after each nap, if they're long ones. I would say 5-7 is average.

This is basically what I do, although now that she's in daycare we go through a lot more.

I change her diaper first thing in the morning, before every nap, if she's poopy, and before most feedings. Most of the changes over lap. Between 7-10 times a day. She still bf's on demand and eats one small meal in the morning. But she does go all night without a diaper change. She screams if you change her diaper in the middle of the night.

Since this post, DS has been out peeing his diaper change routine. I need to upsize his diaper now, but we just bought a new box of threes. So until they are done and we can move into fours, we are changing at least two more times than before. *shrug* At least he will go through the box faster.

E goes through 5-7 diapers in the day time, then a night diaper. Usually only one night diaper, some time two. So between 6-8 each day. But I also CD, so maybe we go through more?
