Antral follicle count cd8

I had my cd8 u/s today to get a follicle count: 2 on the left and a cyst that has not changed since arriving in August, and 7 on the right. So 9 total on a natural cycle. Is this good, bad, normal in terms of future ivf? Apparently I was also scheduled for an HSG today, and holy effing cramping that I did not have the last time I had one done. Everything looked normal though, so that's good. And I'll bring back potato. Potato.

Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
 3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Are you doing an IUI this cycle? There's a high rate of pregnancy the 2 cycles following the HSG, so GOOD LUCK!!


    I want to say it doesn't matter? It was a while ago, but I *think* I started with 10 on each side? Then my right only ever got to 4, my left made 12, so in the end, I don't think what you start with really matters that much.

    I don't remember exactly...and my u/s was on CD3...but I *think* I had somewhere between 11-13 combined on a natural cycle and the RE was pleased with that number.

    @mrs Castillo no IUI this cycle, but perhaps one will be in order next cycle now that you've reminded me of that info! @bcw2009 I think cd3 is the normal day for an AFC count, which makes me wonder if some "disappear" by cd8. I'm also wondering if the 25mm cyst on my left ovary is playing a role in that low number. Guess I'll find out next Wednesday at my RE appt!

    I had 6 antral follicles cd 3 or 4 and only 5 matured. Did IVF and retrieved 4. 3 fertilized. 19w pregnant with b/g twins. :)

    Wow that is so cool. I had 16, retrieved 8, 5 fertilized, and I transferred back 2. 

    We're like twins.

    We had 18 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 7 made it to blastocyst and we just transferred last one yesterday. I was amazed at how many start and you end up with so few at the end. Mine was not natural though- lots a meds because I was too scared to go natural even though mfi- I just felt we had enough going against us I better go balls to the walls. I'm laughing at potato!
