We're driving from md to oh...and apparently there is a blizzard of sorts happening in the wv mountains. Awesome. Traffic will be horrendous getting out of md, as always. I'm an anxietal mess about forgetting something for LO. DH says as long as we have the baby, the boobs, dipes & wipes we're good. Wooooo Saaaaaa......and we're off!
My inlaws are coming to us this year. My mil has been surprisingly chill about changing the normal plans of us going to their house and coming here so we don't have to travel with our lo. She is even bringing the entire thanksgiving dinner! She drives me crazy sometimes but this is pretty awesome and completely taking the stress off of me this year.
Our Thanksgiving destination is 7 minutes away so no real travel for us. Looking forward to spending time with LO and DH this holiday week...chillin at home a bit.
We are going to my parents but it's only about an hour and a half away and no weather worries here. Safe travels to all if you and hoping none of these crazy delays catch you.
5 hours to the ILs on Friday or Saturday. We've done the trip before and it ain't pretty, but everyone survives.
The driving isn't so bad, it's the logistics of getting everyone fed once we stop. I can tandem BF in the car, but it's a lot easier to pump and bottle feed - and that's saying something bc rarely is pumping more convenient!
@crazed178 that makes out 8 hour drive look like child's play. Did you look into flying? (Gasp! With a baby on a plane!) just curious how the tickets compare to gas costs to drive cross country 2x.
We're driving 2 hrs from north to south jersey to the ILs tonight. Waiting for DH to get out of work and planning to travel after DS's bedtime. I'll be a lil tired but it's the best plan. We've made this trip once before when DS was 3 wks, not expecting any probs, XF. Hoping the bad weather and traffic die down by the time we leave.
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
We leave tonight at midnight with the kiddos...driving to LA then flying out to Maui, HI So incredibly stoked! 2 wk vacation from work and city life! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! And safe travels to and from home!
We are a little ways into our trek back home from our visit to TX. LO did well on the way and hoping she does well on the way back. A full day in the car... Hoping Pass-the-Baby yesterday wore her out enough to sleep all day. I should be sleeping too!

I'm going to a movie, 5 minutes away, roads are fine.
Yay.
