This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related - I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting healthy is welcome here!

    Last week- I found out the injury I powered through was a stress fracture. So, I'm banned from running for 4-6 weeks, and any high impact exercise. I'm thankful for my gym membership now so I can keep doing something. I'll just be happy when I am no longer limping and can walk without pain. The stairs in my house are still pretty awful.

    This week- Yoga, arc and bike at the gym. Abs. Weight training. And, trying to be as good on my diet as I can. Should be super fun with Thanksgiving. Lol.

    My goal- I am reassessing my goals. I think I need to give up the half marathon goal, at least for now. Everytime I try to train for longer distances I end up hurt. It's hard for me to make the time necessary to train properly. I'm a mom first, runner second. So, right now I guess I'll just make my goal 140's. That's a few lbs under pre-preg weight, but I've been there before and I'd like to get back there again.

    Favorite Holiday food- Oh man. Me and food. Umm.. dessert? Lol. Any of them. I also love my mom's macaroni salad.

    ETA- @Musicalsilver the personalization on this makes me feel uber special :D

    To you and @tiffletons518 - I figure if I'm taking the time to update the roster every week, might as well take a little extra time to personalize it ;-)  Maybe it'll make more people want to do the check-in!

    And as a general question to everybody - reset the leaderboard in January?  I figure the New Year might attract a new bunch of folks and that way everybody can have a chance at being up there with @ktjayne1119 ;-)

  • Last week I stuck with turbofire! These cardio intense weeks are really melting the pounds away! Down 2 more!

    This week I want to maintain healthy eating and only splurge a little on thanksgiving! I also plan to do all my workouts!

    My goal is still skinny jeans by Christmas with NO muffin top. This morning I tried on my size 4's and three pairs buttoned! Woohoo! I wouldn't be comfortable wearing them yet but it is total motivation to keep going!

    My favorite holiday food is mashed potatoes and gravy. Mmmmmmm
  • @ktjayne1119, i got my wisdom teeth out a few years ago before christmas. I ended up with dry sockets because I suck and wanted to still eat everything! If you end up in a lot of pain, call the dentist. The fix for dry sockets is so easy so don't try and live through the pain. andplusalso you rock for so many weeks!

    last week I ran and did abs and squats, no change in weight :( I did put lo in the running stroller though and it was amazing! freedom!!!! this week I am enjoying running in the snow, I really do love winter running for the most part! goal is this last little bit of weight by Christmas, not feeling very positive about that right now. QOTW: I love stuffing and am very jealous of everyone's impending dinners this week!

  • Last week I kept up with my walks and ran a few times, this week I'll be on vacation so I know I won't do much. Scale hasn't moved... Still need to drop 10lbs...
    Turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing!!

  • Last week: 3 pure barre sessions. Ran 9 miles. Did poorly with my diet. Lost half a lb

    This week: do the same. I'm not dieting the week of thanksgiving. Nope.

    Goal: to get back to pre-preg weight

  • I kept up with my walking and 1 spin class this week but was eating emotionally on Sunday mourning the loss of the cat. Other then that my diet has been on track for the most part. No diet on thanksgiving but my MIL makes it a point to tell you how many servings of butter are in everything she cooks and how her dinners are more healthy then other peoples. She's a fat shamer and has been at it longer than fit mom.

    QOTW:  my favorite holiday food is stuffing.  I don't understand why some call it dressing though.  It's the same shit.  All amazing and yummy.

  • @tttwalters Yah, once it got to be a week and I still couldn't walk I figured it was time. Lol. I'm jealous of your winter running. I tried once and biffed on some ice. Leave it to me to find a patch. Lol.
  • @tiffletons518, I wear these trek thinks on my shoes that make it impossible to slip on the ice. Last year was hard though as no one wanted me running outside so I could only go out if the conditions were prefect. I hope you have a speedy recovery! Have you ever tried water running? if your gym has a pool it is less impact and a lot of the running trainers recommend it. (although I may wait until your fracture is healed!)

  • @tttwalters I don't have a pool at my gym :( I am amazed at how much I cannot do right now, I tried to do one of my dvds Monday and I had to modify everything and even still it wasn't pleasant. Yesterday, I was paying for it, so I spent all day taking meds and attempting to ice frequently. Which is super easy to sit down for any period to do that with all 3 kids here. Lol. And, I'm pmsing this week so I'm bloated. So, I'm feeling fat and defeated right now. Which I will solve by feeding my face in large quantities tomorrow. Ha :P
  • Whew a day late, but better than never!
    Last week: ran twice, one of the runs had a sub 9 min mile and was awesome. Ab and squat challenge, 2 cardio and weight workouts in front of the tv after kiddo bedtime. It takes a ton of willpower to put my sports bra on at 8:30 instead of drink wine so I had to throw the after bedtime in there! I've also been babysitting a lot of friends kids for some extra money so my daytime workout opportunities on my home days are limited. Diet was actually pretty good.

    Next week: squeeze in a few workouts while visiting my sister and family in NYC since I love running there and there will be more babysitters around. Not be a total piglet.

    Goal: regular jeans by Christmas. And to be a MILF in general. :)

    QOTD: stuffing and pumpkin pie! I find turkey pretty dang boring to be honest.

  • What did you do last week? 3-4 walks with the jogging stroller.
    What do you have planned for this week? More walks depending on the temp outside. For some reason, my son doesn't like being the stroller for too long so I end up carrying him the rest of the way! I seriously need to drink more water also
    What is your goal? Do the Tough Mudder in March, drink more water, tone up.
    QOTW: What's your favorite holiday food? Mashed potatoes
