He's EBF and I'm pumping 3 times/day. I added a pump session when he went from 10oz to 16oz. I took sometime to get that much and I also pump before going to bed so I can keep up!
Sorry, but if it makes you feel better my LO just cried his eyes out too and momma couldn't even make it better. Sometimes babies just cry I'm sure they are doing all they can hugs!
I am to get about 15oz, but we have blown through the extra milk I had from 3 wks of NICU pumping when B couldn't eat. I used to have a full deep freezer and soon I will need to add more sessions to keep up.
That sounds reasonable. DD is 5.5 months, gets a small serving of cereal and eats anywhere from 10 to 25 ounces of BM while I am away (7:30 to 5:30) and usually in 5 ounce bottles. I pump 4 to 5 times a day. FWIW DD eats more with my M/W nanny for some reason. And she said she was fussy all the time because I was basing the bottles on what the T/TH/F nanny was giving and thought DD was just chugging the bottles so she wasn't feeling full immediately after a feed. Finally I said just give her what she needs to be full and she's been a much happier baby. Now my stash has taken a hit but I would rather her be full and happy then hungry most of the day.
DS is there from 8:15-5:30 and gets 25 oz, 20 oz of BM and 5 oz of formula because I simply couldn't keep up anymore.
By contrast DD only ever took 16.5 oz of BM at her peak for the same amount of time in daycare. They are all different, you could always send an "extra bottle" they can use to fill his bottle with if he needs a few more oz at any given feeding.
DS1 took 3 oz bottles every two hours for a total of 12 oz when we were apart for 10 hours. He did this up until he bottle weaned at 15 months. He didn't start any solids until 8 months and none at daycare until almost 11 months.
DS2 takes 3.5 oz bottles every twoish hours for a total of 14 oz over 10 hours. No solids yet.
Both boys wanted to eat as soon as i got home and only had Breastmilk. Formula fed kids tend to drink more from what I've gathered.
My LO is having up to 20 or so ounces at daycare from 730am to 5ish. I was giving less but daycare was insisting she was still hungry. I figure that since they are with her all day and I have no idea how much she eats when she is with me (I BF) I should just trust them. And she is finishing everything I give her. So yeah, I think larger bottles will probably help.
My almost 5 month old takes 3 4oz bottles daily. He gets a morning feed at 7, he's never very hungry and only takes one breast, so I pump from the other. He gets a good feed at night before bed and either sleeps through or wakes up once for a feed I think that wake up depends on my milk supply that day.
