Beef Jerky can be made out of may different types of meat. Jerky is most commonly made from beef. However, other types used such as those in the wild game family are venison, elk, caribou, kangaroo, and moose. Other types of jerky are turkey and alligator. Jerky is meat that is cut into strips, marinated in different types of sauces depending on the taste you are going for, and the dried with low heat or hung out to dry in the sun.
