So I've never been one to work out, but I am wanting to lose the extra ten lbs I am carrying around after pregnancy and am also wanting to tone this tummy! What are you ladies doing?
I have a video I liked to do before I was pregnant - Fitness 360. I'll try to do that again. It's pretty short so hopefully I can find some time for it.
I'm back working out. Doing pole exercises and stretching every other day. I"m trying to lose my last 10 lbs and tone up. Once you get started though I think it is easier to keep it up and you become more motivated.
I've started jogging a couple times a week . I walk when i need to and do lunges a couple times. I go for brisk walks on days I don't have someone to take lo for me. I do stretching and a few pushups and planks when I think about it. I'll try to start getting on my elliptical for a few mins here and there too. Every little bit I can do to help get my mind set to do what ever I can. Someday I hope to get a gym membership again. For now, it's "just keep active" and don't give up!
Not doing anything yet but I have 10 pounds left to come off as well. I lost 10 lbs for my wedding pretty easily by cutting out bread (I'm a bread addict) and limiting pasta, sugar, and other refined carbs and increasing my running/walking. I still allowed myself one small sweet thing per day to satisfy my sweet tooth.
I'm not even 3 weeks out, but I plan on getting back on the elliptical when I'm cleared. I waited a year to get back in shape after DS and I don't want to wait that long again. Of course I got KU right after I started working out last time... That better not happen again!
I take lots of walks with LO and plan to begin running again once I'm cleared. I've thought about doing one of my cardio fitness or Pilates workout DVDs at home but I'm really not that motivated, much rather snuggle LO on the couch for now!
I have done the insanity workouts a few times. I did them 6 days a week pre-pregnancy, and loved them. Maybe I will get back to tht one day . I told my H that doing it daily my use to many calories while breast feeding... I have no earthly idea if that is true, but it gives me an out!
I found a "Happy Baby Workout" and a "Baby Wearing Workout" video (both on Amazon). They are both pretty good but, the "Happy Baby Workout" is pretty intense. I also go for long brisk walks with DD in my Moby when I don't feel like an actual workout. I've already lost my pregnancy weight but, I was big to begin with. I'm hoping to lose almost 100lb by Oct '14. My Ob told me if I didn't lose significant weight and became pregnant again, the baby (and me) would likely suffer complications from GD again. Hopefully I can lose the weight.
Re: Work out?
I'm gonna try to laugh it off as I think of me getting up to work out.
