Anyone else's belly have a mind of its own?

Mine likes to turn on the gas stove. :(
It's getting so big I told my husband he has to clean around the toilet because I am afraid I will get stuck between the wall and toilet! Getting stuck is starting to become an everyday occurrence around here :/ how is everyone else handling the bump? Have you gotten stuck anywhere lately?

Re: Anyone else's belly have a mind of its own?

  • I wish I felt that way! I think my bump has been stuck for a couple of weeks now, not growing, but also not getting smaller.
  • Loading the player...
  • I got stuck in the tub. My H was laughing so then DD came in and was laughing I was a raisin by the time I got out.
  • Unloading the washer is quite the task! We have a top loader and reaching into the bottom is nearly impossible!

    This!

This! And trying to squeeze on the elevator with the bed, IV pole, and last week - a balloon pump plus 4 other people. This is not gonna last much longer!
  • I took the pup to the vet today and the exam table is the same height as the bump. The vet was removing a bandage and needed me to hold her still. I was having such a such a hard time because the bump was in my way.

Oh! This hasn't happened yet, but I feel like a lot of the booths at restaurants are gonna be too tight soon. I think I'll just start requesting tables just to be safe, I feel like it'd be embarrassing to get to a booth and not fit. :o

You can come sit in my section at work! (Know NO ONE will laugh at you if you don't fit!!!!)

I've stopped picking up dropped silverware and napkins, I'm scared I won't be able to get back up!

Gotta love the nurse problems! Last night we were lining a patient and trying to work around a sterile field was not an easy task. I caught a fair amt of heat from the Drs (in good fun).
  • Every time I lean in towards the bathroom mirror I knock something off the counter.
  • Yeah my belly reaches 5 mins before I do anywhere
  • Oh these bellies of ours! They contain such precious cargo but knock over so much stuff! Guess it will be the same in not to long when they are outside as well. :)

I have to really watch at the places we eat. For example: around 20 ish weeks, we ate at Texas Roadhouse. My belly fit snugly under the table, but since the table is fixed in the booth, I won't fit anymore, i'm sure! Some places we eat at, the booth tables aren't fixed, and I'm okay with those, because I can shove the table towards DH's side, and make enough room for myself!

  • I have been having a hard time getting in and out of my favorite spot in the house, my recliner which heats and vibrates, and have to kinda 'roll' out of my chair now to get up everytime I have to pee or do something! I wish DH was home so that he could help me get up when I get stuck instead of having to play the roll-and-hope-I-don't-fall game. Though the dogs do seem to be amused watching me struggle in and out of the chair....

  • I got a new stove delivered last Friday. Earlier in the week, since DH was gone, I had BIL/SIL come over so they could pull the old stove out, and I could get the cabinets/floor cleaned behind and under. I tried and tried, just couldn't fit between the stove and the countertop to get back there, so I had to ask SIL to clean back there for me. Luckily, she was fine with it, but I felt bad

  • I was shopping today, and crouched down to get a closer look at something, and then realized there was no wall or table or anything to help me back up! It was a lot more work than it should have been to just stand up.

  • I was swimming yesterday and was in the middle lane. I went to get out of the pool to get a kick board but didnt want to swim to the ladder. I went to lift myself out of the water on hr side with my arms and my belly got stuck underneath the side of the pool. I kind of hung there pathetically for a few seconds before totally (un)gracefully rolled myself out. I used the ladder to get out next time :/
  • Having a hard time getting clothes out of the dryer and tying my shoes.

  • This reminds me of my first pregnancy! We had gone to a fast food place and went to sit down, the table was the kind where the chairs are attached to the table and floor, you know? Well the space they give is not nearly enough for a pregnant woman! I sat down, got squashed, and we had to move to the one handicap table in the place! I mean literally, there was a wheelchair picture on it. (My hubby thought it was hilarious)
