2. First thing in the morning and then late afternoon. We skip that one if she's too busy, but it's a nice time to regroup/ have some quiet time. Still experimenting with a bottle at bedtime. I feel like my supply has dropped and I can't give her three feeds a day. But if we skip the afternoon, I might nurse at bed time.
3. Conflicted! My original plan was to keep going until she could ask for it, but I really don't know whether I should stop sooner just because. Hence this post. Am interested in what other moms are doing! Am in no rush to stop, but also don't want to be one of those moms who BF forever.
4 times a day. 2 naps. Bed time. Overnight. My plan is to cut the night feeding soon. Then the bedtime feeding by Christmas. The two nap feeds will go together by end of January.
Hey I just met you, and you're my baby. This is your family, we're kind of crazy...
4 to 6 times a day- mid day is bottles of BM at daycare, its nursing at home first thing in the morning, right after work, before bed, and MOTN I'm just following her lead. I dropped one pump during the day because she was only taking 3 to 5 ounces at daycare. We are having trouble introducing WCM due to constipation so I am happy to keep up nursing until that is resolved.
2. morning, pre naps, and bedime. And sometimes in the MOTN (whyyyyy is this still happening???). '
3. Would like to cut out the pre naps ones by the end of the year, but that will probably take some nap training. He doens't like cow's milk. I may start experimenting with other milks (soy, almond, goat, etc). I would be fine with keeping morning and bedtime til 18 months. MOTN has GOT TO GO ASAP though. This sh*t is getting real old.
2. No rush to stop whenever he loses interest. He is chunky and eats a ton and drinks milk. I have 2 business trips the beginning of the year which he may lose interest during.
1. How often? maybe once every other day. 2. When? if I can get him to at bedtime. Sometimes MOTN. Sometimes nap time if I am with him. 3. Plans? He has no interest in nursing so I am just letting him self wean at this point. I offer every night but usually he latches on for about 30 seconds then moves on to something else.
3. (Just posted a new thread about this) would like to drop him down to 3x/day, starting tomorrow. Haven't started WCM yet. DS is still pretty attached to nursing, at least he always seems really enthusiastic about it when offered (esp in the morning). We'll see how he does 3x/day, then will gradually drop to 2x/day, leaving just AM/PM sessions.

2. Once before I go to work. Once when I get home and once before bed. She likes to have lots of little mini sessions in between meals.
3. I was thinking of going to 18-24 months. Lately though it has been hurting again, probably because she now has four teeth. She does not seem like she will be ready any time soon and I'm not in any hurry other than it hurting again.
1. We were doing twice a day up until we went away Thursday (when he woke up and before bed). He then wouldn't nurse for 2 days but now he's been doing just once in the mornings.
2. First thing AM.
3. Hope to keep it going until 18 months but if he's done before that, he's done.
I am still nursing 3 times a day. Morning, noon, and evening. I still go visit him at daycare at lunch, so I nurse then. When he moves up to the next class, which I assume will be the end of the year, I will stop going at lunch. I don't know when I am going to quit. He drinks 20oz of whole milk a day, so he doesn't NEED the breastmilk. I think it's mostly comfort.

Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!
No plans to stop. She just started signing 'milk' and 'sleep' together. Um, how the hell could I refuse that??!!
And everyone else, wow, I can't believe you guys are still going - that's awesome!
When I am home waking, nap, bedtime, once overnight. On days I work, morning, after work, bedtime, overnight.
My goal is 18 months to get us through the cold and flu season. She is still incredibly interested in and attached to BF.

She refuses WCM, she spits it out and throws her sippy cup, so I'll keep this up at least until she starts drinking milk.
