The SnotSucker?

To the moms that have the NoseFrida Snot Sucker Nasal Aspirator is it amazing?  Is it worth a special trip to help my LO with her cold we discovered this morning.  She has major snot in her nose and I feel like the hospital aspirator always worked well for our non sick purposes, it's just not cutting it with our current sick snot situation.....

After work I found a pharmacy in the town I teach at that carries it so I was considering making a special trip into the town on my way home from work to try to get her one if I think it will help her breath better.....

AND do you think that I need to invest in a vapor mist thing for her our would my normal adult vapor mister be okay?  Should I put vick's in it to help her breath or just water?

Thanks in advance for any help ladies!!!

Re: The SnotSucker?

  • Yep I second pp. I squirt the saline stuff up LO's nose wait a minute or two and it gets everything out! My LO is kinda weird he loves it!

  • @BonnieK10 can I put the vicks liquid in the mister?

Sorry to bother you but her doctor already called me back and it's a question I totally forgot to ask.
  • Absofrickinlutely
  • Yes, much better than the bulb aspirators! Like others have said start with saline spray then the frida. Also go ahead and get additional filters if they have them. Always good to have extras on hand. Plus I always seem to lose mine.
  • The menthol in Vicks isn't recommended for LO's. Baby Vicks doesn't have menthol.

  • Thanks everybody!  I will be making a detour into town on my way home from work. You all just confirmed the awesomeness I've heard about the snotsucker lol.

No vicks for baby just baby vicks (didn't realize they made it for babies).

    Thanks again!!!!
