Back in the day, pregnant posters would be flamed for regular posting on TTGP. But the board has changed and I want to know: Do you think that pregnants should be regular posters on TTGP?

I don't mind at all. I think it's weirder when someone has been posting daily on the TTGP board and the minute they get their BFP we never see them again.

Am I the only one who sometimes forgets that certain posters got their BFP when I see them posting? Just sometimes, then I'll see a ticker and be like, oh that's right they're pregnant!

I don't really want to see as many pregnant ladies posting in the average thread as people TTC, because that's the purpose of the board (in my mind anyway). However, I really like some of those KU ladies, and I enjoy when they add to a crazy flame thread, and I think it's appropriate when they come give advice on a question thread that not many people here have been able to answer. Oh, and the grad thread is pretty much my favorite of the entire week!

The fact that someone graduated from this board does not magically give them all of the knowledge.

We may not want to still see all of those that have graduated. Not everyone is as loved as they may presume.

I do wonder if this newer group of graduates are unaware of the other facets of social media that would enable them to keep in contact with their :friends: from this forum.

I personally don't give a rats ass if you are pregnant or not, then again I can't see anyone's ticker I'm mostly mobile.

I know when I got my BFP's I was always unsure if people minded if I posted here but I was scared to leave so I still lurked.

If they can answer a real ttc question, sure.

But if they're just hanging out for fun, I don't know. I mean, it doesn't personally offend me, but I don't know why they want to spend their time here.

I don't mind seeing them drop in every once in a while, cause its like "oh hey!!!! How are you it's been forever!" But if you're still posting regularly as if you never left it starts to be like "ok... Why are you still here..."

Because they have been here and lots of them became friends with girls here. I am on here all the time and when I get pregnant, I do not intend to just disappear...I'm hanging out for fun here most of the time-it won't change when I'm KU.

I've thought about this too. Playing devil's advocate though, would you go hang out (and comment) in threads about morning sickness on first tri to see your friend? Maybe some people do (?), but personally I would feel weird doing that. There's other ways to keep in touch.

Idk, it seems a little weird to be to maintain the same level of presence as before. However, it doesn't really bother me. I hope that makes sense. For the record, I'll have a hard time not commenting on every post here once I'm KU. I lurve it here.

Because the BMB's suck and if you are like me you know you will be back soon enough so you want to keep up with what's going on with everyone.

Why does one not then post on the board titled Babies On The Brain then?

All statuses of uteri are welcome there. Empty, occupied, or other.

No. Because I've never had morning sickness since I have never been pregnant...but they have tried to get pregnant.

Obviously they don't post as much as before because they aren't waiting to O or in the TWW. But IMO they can post whenever they want to.

I see what you're saying. On the other hand, I have been pregnant before (10 years ago), so I technically could add something to the conversation. However, I'd just feel out of place. But, whatevs. I don't really care who comments on things, as long as they don't suck. Watch me go on to be the most annoying post-happy pregnant person on TTGP....

Oh, I get it. I love the idea of starting on a board and staying on it (like BOTB). I felt guilty when I would see someone page me on TTGP when I got my last BFP and got into an argument with someone on my BMB the first day. I just wanted to make sure I was respecting the ladies who are TTGP and maybe having a bad day without littering every thread with my ticker.

Just under the surface if my genuine happiness at regulars' BFPs, there's always a tiny bit of sadness that they might not be around much now. And I've only been here for 3 months.

Plus...BMB look awful.

I come the olden days where pregnants weren't allowed to post on TTGP - and I kind of agree with it (besides the grad check in). I can't believe how much has changed since I first joined in 2010.

Chances are you are FB friends (or in an off board) with the people you are closest with on TTGP anyway.

I don't get all the BMB hate. Yes, it gets annoying seeing the same questions over and over, but over time you evolve into a group and usually the crazies get weeded out. I enjoy my BMB even now, probably more than I did when I was pregnant. (although we are on FB now)

That said, I don't know if I'll join another BMB once I'm pg again. I don't know if I can go through all the same FF/BF/carseat/morning sickness/shoes in the house drama again.

This is so me. I didn't find the bump until my 2nd tri. Jumped right into a BMB. But I've been lurking here since about a week after finding this app. I love seeing the BFPs. I have even posted a few times. I try not to but the crazys I can't resist. I'm due this Friday. And I planned on becoming slightly more active after I give birth. Honestly I have learned a lot from you ladys that I feel like I can TTA by doing the opposite of you. But I will probably need your help. I just don't want to step on anyone's toes.
