Doctor Visit

When I had my c section they removed two large dermoid cysts on my right ovary and discovered two clear cysts on my left ovary. I'm back at the doc today and just got a sono. The two cysts on my left ovaries have not gone away as they hoped, they've increased in size.

I remember being on the table and hearing my two doctors (yeah I needed two surgeons) being amazed I was even pregnant considering I had four cysts in my body. The sono tech said the same and guess that I might actually have endometriosis.

I'm waiting to talk with the doctor. I'm hoping these are non-cancerous (the first two were non-cancerous). I'm also hoping this doesn't mean surgery or issues conceiving again.

Just a little freaked but trying to keep my cool! FX the doctor has good news for me in an hour.

T&Ps! Keep us updated. I remember how scary the not knowing/waiting part in this is... Heck my OBs still have no idea where all my cysts came from and why they kept growing. Prayers that everything is ok and no major interventions are needed!

Thanks. I think there are 2 or 3 of us with quite a few cysts. I think someone had surgery recently for them. My Mom brain is fried so I can't remember if I'm correct.

No ruptures that I know of, that sounds terribly painful. I'm not sure how they diagnose. That was the sono tech's guess so she's not a doctor but sees a lot of uteruses! I'm waiting for the doc to let me know.

Fingers crossed that it's minor! I have the cysts as well from PCOS, and they did cause some issues with TTC Gavin (I didn't have the issue when TTC Corri, it developed after she was born), but a round of Clomid actually did the trick.

I remember you mentioning this before. I hope everything goes well for you. I have endometriosis. If they do have to go in to remove them they can usually do it laparoscopically. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I've had 2 laparoscopies done. Good luck!

Just chatted with the doctor. She does not think it's cancerous or endometriosis or PCOS!!! She did a blood draw to check for cancerous levels (C-125). And I am going back in three months. One cyst is 5cm, if it gets to 8cm she will remove them. She didn't think the cysts would affect future fertility but said if they did clomid or surgery would be how we'd treat that.

Thanks for the support. I was freaking out a bit!

Yeah, sorry for being a bit AW but I was freaked. I try not to think about it as I have a worst case mentality. So, time to put this out of my mind until the blood results and then Feb.
