horrible headaches

Ugh! I almost miss the nausea instead of this. When I go from laying down to even just sitting up my head POUNDS. I feel like I have a hangover without getting to have the fun. Turning my head hurts...standing up hurts... tylenol isn't cutting it.

Re: horrible headaches

  • I found relief in magnesium supplements first tri, now those don't even help.

  • Hey ladies! I had a headache that lasted for 3 days recently and only after I received a cranial sacral massage did it go away. Basically, a massage focused on the head, neck and shoulders. If you're able to, I highly recommend it!
  • I hope that y'all feel better soon!!!

I was so hopeful for those! They didn't even work in first tri for me....

My husband is a DO and uses myofacial techniques on me almost every night. It seems to help a little, but it's back to square one in the morning. :( I've thought about going to a chiropractor...

  • Living with my bed buddy heat wrap around my neck like a scarf has helped a lot. Particularly if i lean back on it so the heat is pushing right at the base of my skull.

  • I also have a little caffeine and that usually helps.

  • May not apply to you, but with me I learned that my blood pressure was elevated.  Once I increased my water, started walking more and watched my sodium intake... my headaches started going away.

  • Happens at least once per week for me. Head/neck massage helps me. Tylenol helps a bit but benedryl helps most. Sometimes they last three
    days. Makes me immobile.
  • Yes. Never remember having them with DS until near the end (pre-e). I'm a little worried this is a sign of things to come...

  • Me too...take the tylenol with either coke/pepsi or coffee and it definitely kicks it up a notch.

  • I am just glad to know I am not alone. Seriously woke up one morning and the nausea was gone, but the headache was there... Thanks symptoms for the switcheroo :)
  • So funny- I found benadryl helps the most too. If i take it before bed, I'm good the next day. Mostly. Sometimes.

    Headahces SUCK.

  • I get one of these every 10 days or so. I wake up with it and it pounds until I take a couple of Tylenol. Anytime I make a sudden movement or my blood pressure goes up, the pounding increases. I hope Tylenol will continue to work.

  • I completely sympathize with y'all! These headaches are horrible and the worse the headache is the more nauseated I get. I have had the constant headaches the entire pregnancy but these last 2 weeks have been awful! I missed 3 days of work because they were so debilitating. My dr finally prescribed me a pain med and it seems to help. I've only been on it for a few days so I pray it continues to work. I hope relief comes soon for y'all as well!
