Pregnant after IF

Extending regular pants/jeans

There's a little stretchy thing out there that I've seen that you just connect between your button and the loop hole on your pants.  It's not a bella band or anything like that, which goes all the way around....it just goes between the button to give you more waist space.  I've seen it all over the place but have no idea what it's called so I can't find it anywhere to buy it.  I don't need it yet, but I want to get it before I do need it.  Anyone know what I'm talking about and/or what it's called?

Re: Extending regular pants/jeans

  • Of course after I posted this I found it!  I'm such a spaz sometimes lol.

Here is what I was talking about if anyone is interested in making their regular jeans last longer.  My SIL actually used stuff like this and never had to buy maternity jeans.  She only bought one pair of maternity pants for work and that was it!

  • I just got one that I ordered from Amazon! I still have my ivf bloat and my jeans just aren't as comfortable! I just typed in waist extender in Amazon and found it. It comes with two sizes of the little belt strap and then a couple pieces of fabric in the gaps when you get bigger.

  • krdesi Did you get the one that I posted or a different one?  I'm curious if there are other good ones out there.  I feel like people usually just buy maternity pants, but I'd rather use that money toward the nursery or other things for the baby if I can :-)

  • don't fight the maternity pants! I did and once I switched I wanted to kick myself for not doing it earlier. They are the most comfortable things ever.

  • Hahaha it's not that I'm fighting them, trust me I would LOVE to go on a shopping spree!  I would just rather not spend the money if I don't absolutely have to.  We're on a budget so I'd rather use that money for things for baby or to save so that I can take a longer maternity leave and spend more time with baby :-)

@FutureMrsW9 I got basically the same thing, but mine was half the price which is always a bonus for me! And I think mine has one less thing of fabric and only two belts.

  • I find I get bloated and crampy towards the evening and have just used a regular elastic band to loosen up the top button.
  • That's kinda neat!

I've been in mat pants since 8 weeks lol. They're very comfortable! My first couple pairs of mat capris I got at a thrift store for like $4, so not too bad!

Hope those work out for you! Being uncomfortable and bloaty sucks!
