Length of hospital stay

Getting ready to give birth to first little on soon (due date is Thursday) at Beaumont. I am wondering if anyone has delivered there recently,,and how long they will keep you for a normal vaginal delivery? Thanks in advance!

    With DS, we went in at 11:30pm, and he was born at 1pm the next afternoon.  I stayed for two more nights.

    DD was born at 4am.  I stayed 1 night after her birth, but could have stayed for 2.  

    If everyone is healthy, you can leave earlier, but I would recommend staying for the second night. Newborns sleep very well the first night.  It lulls you into thinking that you have everything under control.  It is the second night they are up every 1.5 hours.  That is when the fun begins!
