So my IL's purchased a baby gift for us. I am completely grateful. However, they purchased a stroller that is nms and does not work with the pumpkin seat we have picked out.

They included the receipt "just in case" but I feel like if I exchange it then I'm being ungrateful. Yet, I worry about using this stroller because it's not compatible.

So would you keep the stroller or would you exchange it for something more useful?

I would exchange it. I assume by pumpkin seat you mean carseat? Just tell them its incompatible - that's a valid reason to exchange it.

Definitely exchange it. That's why they included the receipt!

I would think it would be worse to not use the gift that they spent so much money on. They'll understand!! They want you to be happy!

I would return it and tell them it's not compatible with the whatever a pumpkin seat is-it's only the truth! Don't tell them you don't like it.

I would exchange it with something more useful. If they ask say that it did not go with your car seat (I assume that is the seat you are talking about). Can you buy the stroller that you wanted with the exchange money? If so then just do that. In the long run you need things you can use not stuff you are just going to put away because you dont want to hurt feelings.
