Large families

Curious how many large families are out there. This will be my 7th baby, 14th pregnancy.

I was always jealous of large families. I only had a younger brother and sister growing up. Always wanted older siblings too.
I always said I would have a bunch of kids but 9 weeks in and I'm debating getting my tubes tied lol. I know I want to adopt 2 kids for sure

I am one of 4, but DH is a single child. We're going to stop at 2, but I could probably go for more. It probably would've been easier to have more if I started way earlier! lol

However, I think 2 will be fine.

My parents are both from large families (9 and 8 kids), so I have a lot of aunts/uncles & cousins, but that is sooo not for me (and with that big of a family, it's hard to be 'close' to any of them, so I'm really not. Out of my 40+ cousins, I'm close to ONE of them).

We are strictly on a "two kid only" plan (unless of course I end up pregnant with twins next time).

I am the oldest of 6, but from 2 marriages. I LOVE being from a big family. My siblings and I are all very close and I would love that for my children too. I am preparing myself for this to be my last pregnancy, but we may reconsider having more later. I admire those of you with big families. Congrats on #7 OP!

Hi! Our family isn't super large, but this will be our 4th baby, 7th pregnancy. I think we are done after this one because I am about to turn 35 and my husband is paranoid about the increased risk of birth defects after 35. Also, we live in a really expensive area so can only afford a tiny house. Moving is not an option because we are tied to this city for DH's job and in any cheaper neighborhoods we would have to pay for private school for 4 kids. $200,000 just for elementary school!!! Now we will have 2 kids per bedroom, but the thought of putting more than 2 in one room stresses me out! So, although I would love a 5th, I am 98% sure we have to stop after this one.

We have 3 boys and are now expecting twins! So if all goes well, we will have a party of 5.

My mom is one of 8 living children and his dad is one of 8. Honestly, I am close to all of my cousins and very close with his aunts and uncles. I am one of three and he is one of two, and we are both jealous of the relationships our parents have. I would love to have 5+ (we do want to adopt), but I don't know that we will be able to afford it. Right now, our motto is "lets see where life takes us".

I have 2 step children from my husbands prior relationship and we are pregnant with our first. Our plan is to have 2 of our own to round out 4 kiddos total. That's our happy number. We also live in a small house in a nice area so I don't think we can fit more than 4 kids total.

This is my second marriage, my children range from 18 all the way down too 2. Only one boy in the mix though. This will be my 14th pregnancy! YIKES!!! That sounds so.....IDK LOL. We are super happy but our last one ended at 15/16wks, the one before that is my 2 year old but before her we had a little angel at 20wks, Skylar. If it wasn't for Skylar we would of never of gotten to meet my wonderful 2yr old! So I'm thinking this last one past to be this ones angel. IDK, just trying to be positive and give myself a reason for all this heartbreak. I would of been due yesterday, everything happens for a reason

I grew up with 2 sisters and my DH was an only child. We want a large family. I would really love 3 bio children and 2 adopted children. 5 kids total!

My DH is the 9th of 10 children and he has 4 children from a previous marriage. This will be our first child together -- I am so excited for our family to grow. 2 of the step kids (13 and 11 year old girls) aren't very thrilled but I think they'll warm to the idea once the baby is here.. (fingers crossed)

This is my 13th pregnancy and our 11th baby. I have given birth to 9 and one born of my heart (step-son). We know we are odd these days for having such a large family but I love it...I am an only child and hubbs is the baby of three.

I'm the oldest of five and my husband is the youngest of four. We're thinking we want three or four. One of my high school friends is pregnant with her sixth! She loves being a mom and after this one their family will be complete.

I'm one of 4. DH is the only (and adopted) child. I want up to 4 but he wants 2 max (we shall see).

My fraternal grandpa is one of 14. My mom is one of 6. All of her siblings have 4-6 kids. With Aunts/Uncles, cousins and cousin's kids, our baby will be number 81 in that family!

I am 8 of 9, my Mom is the oldest of 10! My Dad is from a family of 2 but my uncle has 5! I have more cousins, 2nd 3rd etc than I can count! We all live fairly close by and have get together a regularly! I love being from a large family and if I wasn't starting my own at 37, I would probably have a large own of my own! That being said, we hope to be blessed with 2 but if it crept up to 3 or 4, there would be no complaints from hubby or I!!!!!

Is this going to be your last? I know I am all done after this one, I think if I was 5yrs younger I MIGHT have a couple more but I'm getting too old for this lol

I dont know to be honest. Some days I think ok this is our caboose and then I think maybe one more right after this one since we have such an age gap. However I am getting older and I have slowed down a bit since I got pregnant...I think truly its a wait and see...

I am from a family of 6, and H of 5. We want a big family. Our plan is 3 biological and then 3 adopted, but we all know plans can change. We'll see how things go.

H is #4 of 6 and I was raised an only child but with 2 halfsisters. I have always wanted a big family but I got a late start. We're still going to try and squeeze 4 in before I'm 40 but realize this might be wishful thinking. I'm already trying to mentally prepare for TTC with a 3-month old!

I have 2 siblings, husband has 1 sibling. My dad has 7 siblings and wait for it, my mom is the youngest girl of 18 with 16 still living. Yup very large family. This is our third and I'm 100% sure we are done.

My husband is the youngest of six (same parents, still married-people ask us that a lot) and I am the middle of three. We're hoping to aim right in between at a grand total of 4. I was 24 when I had my daughter, will be 26 when this babe is born, and hope to have two more at 28 and 30 and then be done!
