AW: H got a new job!

H has been in the interview process for a supervisor position for an electric company warehouse for the past couple weeks. We heard from them on Thurs to request his references when they told us it was between him and one other person. We gave the references and have been anxiously waiting to hear back from them. Finally, just about an hour ago, they called to let him know he beat out the other guy for the job!!! Now we just have to do the paperwork dance with their HR office, do the background check, blah blah blah. We don't have a start date, so I don't want to count my chickens or anything, but it looks like my H has a new job!!! (How weird is it that I strangely feel really bad for the other guy? I hope he doesn't have a family. I hope they didn't tell him he was one of two applicants like they told my H, because damn that would suck to know you were so close.)

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts these past couple months since he lost his old job. It's been a struggle but we've made it through, and hopefully by spring we can build up what we've taken out of savings, pay off some credit cards, and get back on track financially. This also means that we should have enough income for me to cut back on my work hours and get enrolled in school to start working on that masters, hopefully by fall next year.
