Sticking fingers/hand down throat

DS has a new game.  It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough that I am starting to worry.  When in the highchair he thinks it's funny to stick his fingers/hand down his throat to the point of gagging.  We tell him to stop, but he just laughs and does it more.  He stuck his hand so far down his throat the other day that he made himself throw up.  Anyone dealt with this?

  • Ugh, yes. DD went through a month or so where this was the most fun thing ever. I would turn my back for a second and then find her sitting next to a little pile of puke. Then she moved on to shoving anything and everything up her nose. That has thankfully also passed and I am now awaiting her next 'discovery.'

  • DD has done it to the point of gagging but not throwing up.

She is chewing on her fingers b/c she is getting molars and her gag reflex kicks in.

I never notice she's doing it until she makes a gagging noise! ugh.

And then when I hear it I saw, 'oh no, careful!'

    It will pass eventually...I hope!
