Pregnant after 35

Yay.. We have a +..

Well dr office says my hcg went from 62-450 in just a short 3 days.. I'm now 5 weeks and 6 days... And now I'm having a great deal of tailbone pain. I've researched it and seems to be ligament stretching pain, but this is very early to be having such pain, don't ya think?.. Maybe we are having twins? Wyt?.. I used clomid and timed intercourse to get this successful pregnancy. I'm 36 dh 36.. Thanks for y'all reply

  • Welcome and congratulations! Sorry I can't help you on the tailbone pain -- that is not something I experienced. Other pains, yes -- but not until later.

  • You may want to check your posture. I had some tailbone pain. Turns out, when I was sitting, I was tucking my rear end under, sort of cradling my body around my baby. :) Sometimes the explanation is just that simple.
  • Welcome and congrats!

  • Congratulations!  don't think your pain is pregnancy related.  Hope you figure it out!

    congrats!
the only way to know whether its multiples is via ultrasound. i know that can come across harsh, but trust me, dont ask that on the multiples board or you may get a more harsh reply.
i went through 2 failed rounds of clomid, but concieved the twins while we were supposedly in a break.  that being said, risks increase with fertility treatments, maternal age, etc.       its likely your pain could be from nonpregnancy causes, whether it's one or more.
hooefully youll get all of yoyr questions answered soon.
    welcome to a great board!

  • I had intense tailbone pain starting around 8 weeks, but it went away (I'm 14 weeks now). My doctor wasn't sure it was pg-related - I'm a runner, and we both thought it could have been from that, or the pregnancy, or a combination of both. Chiropractic, acupuncture, and stretching all helped!
  • Mine has pretty much gone too... Warm pks and not sitting much has helped..
  • congrats. I had that pain, it will go away. Good luck with pregnancy! I am 36 as well.
