Hey ladies! Haven't been on a lot lately, but things are going much better with BFing DD2.
After posting, I started fitting in more pumping sessions, usually right after she went down for a nap. I figured out a setup so DD1 and I could color or do an art project at the table while I pump, so we're still spending that time together. After a couple days, it was pretty clear that my supply wasn't so much of an issue as the fact that she wasn't emptying my breasts, which was likely slowing down my milk production. But, once I got my supply back up, DD2 was giving me less of a fight for morning and evening nursing sessions. Things really turned around after about a week, so I'm guessing it was some sort of nursing strike.
The afternoons can still be a struggle, and there are a lot of days that I resort to a bottle because she is just so fussy at that time of day. Initially I needed to supplement 1-2 ounces of formula, but I am now pumping enough that I usually don't need to supplement.
Also, she miraculously started sleeping better in the last week - longer naps and less night waking - so that has definitely been a stress reducer for me!
Anyway, just wanted to give an update and say thanks for all the suggestions and support. Things are going much better and I'm feel a lot better about the situation!
