So I just spent the weekend in the hospital. Actually I'm still here but I'm most likely going to go home today.
Long story short I had an ultrasound on friday where they saw some leftover placenta in my uterus. They scheduled a d&c immediately with the plan of getting it out and me going home that day.
Well of course things didn't go as planned and I ended up losing a lot of blood and needing a tranfusion. They also had to put a catheter/ balloon in my uterus and a cerclage to keep it in there. Good news is it appears to have worked and stopped the bleeding.
Ugh such a long ordeal and it just feels like adding insult to injury after everything we've been through! But thank god for my amazing doctor!

Just a side note if/when you do decide to try again... You should have them monitor your cervix closely. The fact that they had to put a cerclage in you may mean you need one in a future pregnancy. It would be miserable to endure another loss because of a weakened cervix. I don't mean to scare you but it can happen.
