Still showing a positive result?

Had my miscarriage 2 weeks ago naturally. Took a pregnancy test this morning out of curiosity and it still says positive, is this normal? How long does it take for our bodies to get back on track?

it took me a little over 2 weeks for my levels to get to 0 (highest level was 4800) but i have heard it taking up to 4 weeks for some especially if you were further along and levels were higher.

Day of the procedure HCG was around 7500 and 2 weeks later, it was 10. I had a D&E so I am not sure if my levels dropped more rapidly or not. Sorry for your loss.

My HCG were measured at over 27,000 a little over 5 weeks into my pregnancy.  I am now 3.5 weeks past my d&c and had my blood tested again on Thursday measuring my HCG and it came back at a 14.  Anything over a 5 will register a positive on a home pregnancy test, so if I were to test it would also come back positive.  I have to had my blood taken each week until my HCG measures a zero.

This is part of the reason doctor's want you to wait before ttc again.  If you don't let your levels reset at zero it can be really hard to date your pregnancy.

I am so sorry you are going through this.

I had a positive hpt for about 3 weeks after my mmc and d&c at 10w. But, I O'd about 2 weeks after my d&c, so 1 week before the negative hpt, and AF showed exactly 1 week post negative hpt.

I didn't have the heart to measure my own HCG levels this way--my doctor did blood draws and it took around three weeks for my levels to go down. I suggest talking to your doctor if you need further confirmation. I am sorry too you are having to go through this. So sorry.
