Daycare Gifts for a "Team"

DD is currently in the process of transitioning to the toddler room at daycare. They have kind of a team approach, so there are 2 main "teachers" in each room and then a team of 5 - 7 staff members who rotate through depending on the day and time. I don't think we're going to do individual gifts because it's too confusing. We're looking at a total of 14 - 16 people. And I don't want to get the same thing for a teacher she sees once a week for 2 hours, when there are some she sees every day.

I'm thinking of doing individual gifts for the main teachers, but more of a group gift for everyone. What do you think of a tray of bagels and muffins one morning before Christmas? I can thrown in some Christmas cookies/candy to make it festive, and maybe some hot chocolate packets with a candy cane tied to them?

  • I like the hot chocolate/ candy cane idea. Tie the two together with a ribbon and put them all in a basket to leave in the staff break room/ lounge area. It's a simple, delicious treat everyone will love. If you really want to be nice, you could make a few with alternate choices like tea or coffee.

  • I'm assuming the helpers don't all work everyday so bringing in food tray of bagels is really just for the helpers there that morning, you know. I like the hot  cocoa idea because it can sit until the arrive and they can take it with them. While you don't want to do individual gifts, I think you should still put their name on it and do a simple hand written card for thanking them.

I have done a group gift for all the teachers when James was at a smaller daycare. I did these cupcake packs (easy to hand make a mix for cookies, hot cocoa, cupcakes, bread, soup...). I have also done a polish and a note that said for your Mistletoes.
